Hi

For PSU recruitment, you will have to appear in GATE and for that there is no qualifying exam eligibility. You can appear in GATE with your B.Tech percentage.

You will have to clear GATE for PSU recruitment and then there is a possibility that PSU will check your background, but this criteria also varies from PSUs to PSUs.
