Under no circumstances, you can avail quota under two categories. If your family income is in accordance with EWS category then surely you can make an EWS certificate for yourself but then you have to apply under GENERAL-EWS category. You can no longer use OBC-NCL quota. Same goes if you apply as OBC-NCL, then you won't be able to avail EWS quota. Moreover, OBC-NCL has more reserved seats i.e. 27% then EWS i.e. 10%, therefore, chances increases for you to get a seat under OBC then EWS. But as I have said earlier you won't be allowed to use 2 quotas for the same seat.
