I regret to inform you that with a low score you cannot get admission into your desired branch in any nit .
As mechanical is one of the most sought branches so likely it has high cutoff for the admission .
So its the same case for iiits .
But mostly iiits does not have mechanical branch in them.iiits are knows for computer related branches.
But though you can try in iiit kancheepuram as its specialised in mechanical engineering.
