I think you are mistaken because Tiruchirapalli do not provide mechanical course in BTech .
There are only two course available that is computer science engineering and electronic and communication engineering.
And with this rank you have a fair chance to get any of the two branch ( CSE and ECE ).
You can see last year cut offs .
