Yes you can definitely get admission into most of the nits with non core branches during spot round because of the ews category but still make the choice filling very accurately so that you left so stones unturn till the spot round.

Maybe you priority list was not according to your ranking. You have a chance of getting nit Bhopal, silchar, pondicherry, sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland.
