In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank.

This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like

--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam

--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination

--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam

--------) number of students from different categories

--------) seats available for different branches etc

But yes,

With your 45948 rank , considering you  from sc category,

On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data , you  have low chances in government engineering college.

For government college your GMR rank should have been at least around 39000 being from sc

For example,

In 2020 , in 3rd round of wbjee,39114 GMR i. e general rank for sc category  was the closing rank for a government engineering college and it was for was for Govt. College Of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore  for Apparel & Production Management

As per,  In 2020, in 3rd round of wbjee,  you have chances in private engineering colleges like :-

• Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, Purba Medinipur:- Civil engineering

• Future Institute of Technology, Boral, Garia:- computer science

• Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex, Dum Dum- Automobile Engineering
