These days, We are having a lot of movements regarding environmental degradation, As the researchers are constantly providing us the data regarding environmental degradation, which can't be considered as the good news, hence it is mandatory to protect our environment by considering to take some obligatory actions. Some of the examples of such are-

The famous Chipko movement led by Sundarlal Bahuguna to protect trees and forests slated for government back- logging in the state of Uttrakhand with the help of many male and female activists. It was a nonviolent social and ecological movement.

Silent valley movement led by Binoy Veswam in order to protect an evergreen tropical forest in the state of Kerala. The issue got a huge attention from national and international platform.
