As you got 8889 OBC NCL rank in JEE Main 2019, you have very little chance of getting into NIT Calicut. If you wait untill the last round, you may hardly can get Bio-Technology.

If you are interested in civil engineering, you may get some other nits for your rank

1) NIT Uttarakhand

2) NIT Nagaland

3) NIT Mizoram

Take a note that admission process consists of total 7 rounds & two special rounds, all ranks mentioned in Special Round are all India CRL Ranks & Vacant HS Quota seats were converted to All India Quota in Special Round.

Congratulations on securing that rank in the JEE Mains. I just checked the 2018's cutoff(official) and the 2nd round's closing cutoff for CIVIL ENGINEERING at NIT Calicut for OBC NCL was 26076.So you really stand a very good chance in securing your dream college.
