Hello
JoSAA Round 6 is for all institutes (IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTI) . It is the last round of JoSAA counselling.
No further JoSAA rounds after Round 6. For IITs, Round 6 is the final and closing round.
For NITs, IIITs and GFTIs vacant seats after Round 6 will be filled through CSAB Special Rounds.
If you don’t get a seat in Round 6, you can apply in CSAB (but only for NIT+ system, not IITs).
hope this helps you .
With a JEE Main SC category rank of 38,512 and your home state being Andhra Pradesh, it’s going to be very difficult to get a seat in NITs or IIITs, especially in core branches like CSE, ECE, or IT.
For NITs, the closing ranks for SC category in most branches are generally much lower than 10,000. Even for less competitive branches and newer NITs, the closing SC ranks usually stay under 20,000 to 25,000. So, at 38,512, you're quite a bit outside the typical range.
For IIITs, it's similar. Most of them close for SC candidates well before 20,000. Branches like CSE and ECE fill up quickly, and your rank likely won't meet those cutoffs.
With a CRL of 1.53 lakh, being an outside Delhi OBC candidate with defence quota priority VI, your chances of getting a CS-related branch like CSAM, CSD, CSSS, CSAI, or CSE at IIIT Delhi are unfortunately very low. The closing ranks for OBC and even for OBC with defence quota usually stay well below your rank, often within the top 80,000. Even with the quota, priority VI doesn’t offer as much relaxation as the higher priorities.
So realistically, it's unlikely you'll get a CS branch at IIIT Delhi with this rank this year. You might want to keep some backup options in mind or consider a drop year if IIIT Delhi is your goal.
Jossa counselling is the main counselling process for getting into IITs and NITs.CSAB counselling is the counselling after Jossa counselling for vacant seats. usually, SC category or easy to get into the groups like a CSE ,EC And son so on .with the SC rank of 8940 you are having a good chance of getting Into JOSSA/CSAB counselling into CSE group .
Hello student,
No, a 99.05 percentile and a rank of 14621 is unlikely to get you a seat in the Computer Science (CSE) branch at IIIT Delhi, especially if you are an outside Delhi candidate.
The cutoff for CSE at IIIT Delhi for General (Outside Delhi) candidates is typically above 99.6 percentile. For Delhi candidates, the cutoff is usually a bit lower, but still above 99 percentile.
Since your rank is 14621, and the cutoff is likely higher than your rank, it's improbable you'll get a seat.
You can check this article to understand the previous year's cutoff trends of IIIT Delhi:

Thank you!!
Dear aspirant,
With a 84.98 percentile in JEE Mains 2025, getting a CSE or IT branch in top IIITs like IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Delhi, or IIIT Allahabad is quite difficult , even for payment or special quota seats , as their cutoffs are usually much higher. Though you may still get a chance in some newer or lower-ranked IIITs, especially through special rounds like CSAB or if you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST or OBC . If you are from general category then your chances are quite low. Payment seats are rare in IIITs compared to private colleges , but you can also look into private universities offering good CSE/IT programs with direct admission or low cutoffs. You should consider state-level counselling or backup private colleges. For more information you can visit this link.

Hello Mahitha,
At an 88.57 percentile in JEE Main, a CRL rank of 168000 and an EWS Category rank of 24000, the likelihood of receiving CSE or other top branches in NITs/IIITs through CSAB counseling are almost negligible, especially for general/open category seats. That said, as a female EWS candidate, you may have a few chances in:
HELLO,
With a 95.75% in JEE Main 2025 , General -EWS rank of 9115 and CRL 64274 you have a very good chance of getting CSE at IIIT Pune as its previous closing ranks go beyond your EWS rank. However getting CSE at NIT Nagpur is highly unlikely as its CSE cutoff for general -EWS is usually below 8000.You may still get CSE in some mid or lower tier like NIT Patna , Jalandhar, Agartala, or Hamirpur depending on round and category trends

Hello,
For B.Tech admissions at IIIT Naya Raipur under the state quota (Chhattisgarh & NTPC) in 2025, the online application period was from May 9 to July 3, 2025. After applications ended, the college commenced its internal counselling sessions in July. The initial merit list was released on July 8, with additional rounds occurring on July 16 and July 24.
You must finish document verification and pay the fees by the deadlines set for each round. They additionally provided a branch upgradation round in early August. If you’ve submitted your application, make sure to frequently visit the institute’s official admission website, particularly in mid to late July, to monitor the merit lists, counselling timelines, and any news or openings.
Hope this helps. All the best!
You did your best in NEET, and it’s okay that you didn’t get a government seat this time. Since it was your first try, and if your heart still beats for becoming a doctor, and you’re ready to give one full focused year, then taking a drop is okay — but only if you’re 100% sure you’ll give it your everything, with no regrets. But if you also like coding or tech, then CSE at IIIT Kalyani is a really nice option too. IIITs are good, and CSE can give you a strong career, good placements, and even chances to go abroad or work at top companies. So just sit for a minute, think what excites you more — medicine or computers — and go with the one that makes you feel happy inside. Both paths are great, you just need to pick the one your heart really wants.
