IIFM Fees Structure : Hostel, Courses, Admission

Bhopal's Indian Institute of Forest Management was founded in 1970. It is frequently abbreviated as IIFM. The National Board of Accreditation and the All Indian Council for Technical Education have both granted it accreditation (AICTE). Bhopal was ranked 75th in the management category in the NIRF 2021 rating IIFM. Management courses such as Post Graduate Diploma and M. Phil. are available at IIFM. IIFM Admission Process

Admissions are available to two P.G.D. programmes at the institute: M.Phil Natural Resource Management and a Fellow Programme in Management. Admissions to the IIFM Bhopal are available in the following fields: forestry, general management, and sustainable development. The first stage in the IIFM Bhopal admission process for P.G.D. programmes is for qualified students to apply for and take the CAT/XAT. The Indian Institute of Forest Management Bhopal uses CAT/XAT scores to shortlist candidates for the IIFM Bhopal screening process. Shortlisted candidates must also take a written aptitude exam and a personal interview.

Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management

Candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/DA students) from a recognised university. Students appearing for their final year examination (bachelor’s or equivalent degree) and completed all degree requirements are also eligible to apply. + CAT/XAT valid scores +WAT and PI.

Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management

M.Phil Natural Resource Management

Candidates must possess a two-year postgraduate degree/diploma in the field of sciences/engineering/ management and related social sciences. or it's equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade from a recognised university. 5% relaxation of marks will be given to SC/ST/DA students.

Fellow Programme in Management

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (absolute) from a recognised university.


Masters degree or equivalent in engineering and technology/management/ economics/ social science/ biological science/ pure science/ commerce/ humanities/forestry and related science/ environmental and related discipline, a with first-class including five years/four-year integrated master's degree programme and with good academic records from a recognised university.Final year students are also eligible to apply.

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS obtaining a minimum of 55% marks

Or

For IIFM Graduates, who have done PGDFM and IIM graduates who have done P.G.D.M, the minimum CGPA of 3.00 in 4.33 maximum scale, is required.

Or

For MRM post graduates from IIFM, with 3.00 CGPA and above are eligible to apply.

IIFM Admission Process

  • Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements to apply for IIFM Bhopal admissions.

  • Apply for and take the CAT/XAT. Candidates are shortlisted for IIFM Bhopal based on their CAT/XAT results.

  • Eligible students must fill out an application form for admission to IIFM Bhopal.

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted must take a written ability test (WAT) and a personal interview.

  • Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the written ability exam, personal interview, document verification, and payment of fees.

IIFM Hostels

The hostel complex consists of three hostels, Nilgiri, Vindhyachal, and Aravalli, which have a total of 112 completely furnished rooms with a separate block for girls (Aravali Hostel) to accommodate students (on a twin sharing system). All of the hostels have solar/geyser facilities for hot water throughout the year. The hostels feature common rooms with TVs and DTH connections (complete package), a gym, and indoor games, among other amenities. Internet access is available in the hostel rooms through LAN. Every other day, doctors come to the IIFM Campus. Students can consult them for free, but they must obtain their own medications. In the event of a medical emergency, students are given access to the Institute's vehicle, which allows them to visit doctors outside of campus. Volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, and badminton courts are part of the sports complex. The TT Table can also be found in the Badminton Hall and the girl's hostel. A football and cricket pitch is also accessible.

Since the CAT application form correction window is closed, you must contact the CAT help desk immediately to explain the situation, as you can't edit a wrong date of birth after submission. If it's a major error like date of birth, you may need to go to the exam center with proof and the correct admit card, although getting it corrected before the exam date is the most important first step.

You have to apply separately for each symbiosis college, like SIBM Pune, as they as not automatically included. The CAT form automatically includes many IIMs, but the SNAP exam is a separate test that is given for admission to Symbiosis Institute, which requires its own separate application and fee.
