When choosing a Bschool, it is important to not just go for the brand; but also the institute’s programme and pedagogy should be in line with the student’s long-term plans. Below, we have mentioned the four parameters based on which student can select the B-School.
Career Goals: Students should choose the institute that is known and is prominent in the industry of their choice.
Skill Flexibility: Students should ensure the course allows them to change and adapt if their interests evolve.
ROI: If we compare fees with average salaries, it is observed that often mid-tier schools have a better ROI than the top ones.
Alumni Network: Strong alumni mean better mentorship, internships, and job switches at a later stage.
Global Exposure: If students aim to work abroad, opt for schools with robust exchange programmes and global recognition.
If we take LinkedIn’s ranking into consideration, students should understand that an MBA programme’s worth is not just limited to a brand name. The value of an MBA programme should also be based on career outcomes such as how quickly one advances in the career, how easily one can switch careers and finally the strength of the professional network.
For students, securing admission to a top B-School should not be the only objective. They should develop new skills such as analytical rigour, leadership, adaptability, and ethical judgement and improve their old ones.
The primary question while finalising B-School should be, what kind of a professional a student wants to become? Based on that, they should opt for the B-School that helps them in achieving their career goals.
If we consider this ranking, there is a positive outlook towards India’s B-Schools. They are at par with global B-Schools, the best part being that they combine world-class skills along with Indian affordability. A B-School aligned with the student’s professional goals can help in skilling up and career advancement; it does not offer a degree, it helps in achieving career goals.

Hi dear candidate,
The admissions for all major UG/ PD courses gets closed by October at most in all colleges/ universities. Although, you may try at open colleges like DU SOL and IGNOU as they still have admissions open for distance leaning but courses like are better when done in regular mode rather than distance mode. At last, you may wait for 2026 admissions to open.
