KIET School of Pharmacy Celebrates World Pharmacist Day with Mega Health Camp Benefiting 225+ People

The School of Pharmacy, KIET Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad, celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2026 on 25 September 2026 with enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The celebration was organised around the global theme, “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures,” highlighting the vital contribution of pharmacists to healthcare and the importance of nurturing skilled, responsible, and future-ready pharmacy professionals.

The celebration commenced with a Mega Health Camp, organised in association with Yashoda Multispeciality Hospital, Clove Dental, and ITS Dental College. The initiative provided an important platform for health awareness, preventive care, and community engagement, benefiting more than 225 people. The health camp reflected the School of Pharmacy’s commitment to extending healthcare awareness and services beyond the campus while encouraging students to engage meaningfully with the community.

The celebrations also featured a range of academic and co-curricular activities designed to promote knowledge, communication skills, creativity, and professional development among students. The valedictory ceremony recognised the talent and enthusiasm of participating students through the felicitation of winners of the Pharma Quiz Competition, Debate Competition, and Oral Presentation Competition.

A special highlight of the programme was the announcement of the prestigious “Best Student Pharmacist of the Year – 2026” Awards across various categories. All the Awardees have received the Cash prize and Certificates. The awards recognised students for their outstanding achievements, dedication, professional commitment, and excellence, encouraging them to continue pursuing academic and professional growth in the field of pharmacy.

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Daksh Bhatia, Associate Dean, School of Pharmacy, along with Dr. Praveen K. Dixit, Coordinator, WPD-2026, programme heads, faculty members, and enthusiastic students.

More than 137 students participated in the mega celebration, making the event a vibrant platform for learning, healthy competition, recognition, professional development, and community engagement.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Abhay Bhardwaj, Dr. Anuj Pathak, Dr. Richa Goel, Ms. Shikha Kaushik, Ms. Pragati Gupta, Mr. Kapil Sachan, Mr. Shubham, and Mr. Priyaranjan, whose efforts contributed to the successful organisation of the celebration.

The School of Pharmacy expressed its gratitude for the best wishes and encouragement extended by Dr. Adesh Kumar Pandey, Director Academics; Dr. Manoj Goel, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor; and Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, KIET Deemed to be University.
