Careers360: You have a very rich background in science and technology plus years of experience as an administrator. How do you plan to utilise that in your present capacity?
Prof Dilip Kumar Patnaik: Medi-Caps as an institution started in the year 2000 but as a university, we treat ourselves as novice. The road is long in front of us and the way is not as easy as it seems. There are a lot many areas where we have to exceed and show our presence on the globe. I hope that I will be able to make a substantial difference in taking the University to a higher pedestal. With the wonderful team that I have been given, I am sure that our dream is not far-fetched.

Prof Dilip Kumar Patnaik: Medi-Caps has always believed in flowing with the current. Though COVID-19 situation was a setback for everyone, we soon went into online mode and started our virtual classes and also took exams, assignments, even placement interviews on the online platform. Hence, we can proudly say that our students are still abreast in the market.
Careers360: How are the placements at Medi-Caps University? How do you make your students ready for the post pandemic job market?
Prof Dilip Kumar Patnaik: The placements at Medi-Caps have always been our strength. Our syllabus is designed in collaboration with the industries. The students are trained in such a manner that they are market ready as soon as they appear in the campus interviews. There are some students from a heterogenous background; who are taken care of by the Medi-Caps University faculty members. From improving their communication skills, till their interview techniques.
Covid19 has literally shaken the world, but with that has also come up innovation and newness. Firstly, we at Medi-Caps never stopped. Of course, the task wasn’t easy, but we were all headed in a common direction that learning should not stop. Even at the time of recession, we were able to place most of our students into good companies. We look forward to the same scenario ahead also.

Prof Dilip Kumar Patnaik: Research is going to be the next step for us at Medi-Caps University. Not just the teachers, we want the students to excel in R&D, which will open numerous multiple avenues for them. Industry and academics always go hand in hand. Today research has broadened its perspectives and students, under the guidance of faculty members, are working on projects of utility. This research will help the teacher and the industry in turn to achieve the goals of academics and industry.
To achieve our goals, we have signed MOUs with companies like BOSCH, IBM, TCS and many institutes in the US, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Singapore.

see cutoff score fluctuate every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, choice of stream, students category and so on. gate cutoff goes lower for private colleges and the main competition is for government colleges. however you did not mention the stream in which you want to take admission.
