Panjab University conducts the Panjab University Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (PUCET) 2019 in an offline mode for admission to BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma programmes at the university and 188 participating colleges. The university had released a common application form of PUCET 2019 for both the undergraduate programmes on April 5, 2019. Candidates apeearing in PUCET 2019 can opt for subject combinations of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and Mathematics. Along with the combinations of PCB or PCM, candidates have the option of taking an additional subject Biology/Mathematics. Candidates are allotted seats based on PUCET 2019 result, their rank in the merit list and their preferences.

PU CET Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates passed/appeared in 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council can also apply for PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test 2019.
I.N.M.O. (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) Awardees can directly join B.Sc. (Hons.) programme at Department of Mathematics. Such candidates need not to take PU CET entrance exam.

PU CET Application Form 2019
The application form of PU CET UG is released for admissions in UG courses offered by the university. There is a single, common application form of PU CET 2019 for BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma. Eligible candidates can fill PU CET application form 2019 by following the stages mentioned here.
Stage I – Registration: While applying for PU CET 2019, candidates have to first of all register by entering details like name, email ID, contact number, etc.
Stage 2 – Log In: Once the registration is done, candidates have to login using the unique registration number and password which candidates must keep safe with them.
Stage 3 – Fee Payment: Candidates can pay the fee via e-challan. Candidates have to enter the required information in the application form and generate the bank challan from the application form. The fee has to be paid via e-challan which has to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India. Application fee details are mentioned below.

Stage 4 – Uploading Documents and Filling Application: In this stage, candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature (as per the prescribed specifications), and fill other required details.
Stage 5 – Preview Application Form: At this stage, candidates can preview their entered details and edit/modify/change the particulars in case required.
Stage 6 – Print Application: The last stage of the application form of PU CET 2019 is to take a printout of the submitted form. The printout has to be kept with the candidates only for future reference.
PU CET 2019 Preparation Tips
Be familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern of PU CET 2019.
Divide the syllabus as per the time left for the exam.
Get the best books to prepare and decide daily target for study. Meet the daily and monthly targets.
Take lot of mock tests and practise ample sample papers and previous years question papers of PU CET.

The PUCET 2019 UG paper pattern states that the test will be MCQ based and will be conducted in offline mode. For PG courses, all the tests will be conducted in offline mode but their type will vary as per the courses. As per Panjab University 2019 exam pattern, the UG entrance test for all subjects except for B.P.ed. will be of seventy minutes, while the PG entrance test will be of 1.5 hours. PU CET Exam Pattern 2019 for B.Sc. (Hons.)
PU CET 2019 exam for BSc. courses was held in the offline mode on April 30, 2019. However, the subject combination differs as per the course opted for. For BSc. in Botany and Zoology, candidates have to opt for subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) only, which was held for 3.30 hours (70 minutes for each of the three pages). For rest of the courses except Mathematics, candidates had to opt for subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM). The paper combinations of PCB or PCM was held for a duration of 3.30 hours, however, when an additional paper (Mathematics or Biology) is opted for along with either of the combinations, the exam duration was 4.40 hours. For BSc. in Mathematics, candidates were required to opt for Mathematics paper only which was held for 70 minutes only. Each paper was be held on the same day, but in different time slots for 70 minutes each. Candidates had to to answer 60 objective type questions from each paper. Each correct answer fetches 2 marks, while .25 or 1/4th marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
PU CET Exam Pattern 2019 – For B.Pharmacy
PU CET 2019 for B. Pharmacy was held on April 30, 2019 in an offline mode. Candidates could opt for subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), which was held for 3.30 hours. They can also opt for an additional subject – Mathematics or Biology with these combinations with an additional application fee of Rs. 300. When an additional subject is added along with the PCM and PCB combinations, the exam duration becomes 4.40 hours. Each Paper – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics was held for 70 minutes wherein candidates have to answer 60 questions for 120 marks. The questions were objective in nature wherein each correct answer will get 1 mark, while for each incorrect answer, 1/4th or .25 marks will be deducted.
PU CET Admit Card 2019
PU CET 2019 admit card for UG programmes was released in online mode on April 27, 2019. Candidates were required to donwload their PU CET admit card 2019 by using their login ID and Password generated at the time of generating the Bank Challan. After downloading, candidates had to check the details on it and ensure that all the particulars are correct and take printout of it. The admit card has to be taken to the exam centre on the exam day.

PU CET Answer Key 2019
The answer key of PU CET for UG courses was released in the online mode on May 3, 2019. Candidates had to download the answer key as per the exam they have taken and the code of their respective paper. The answer key of PU CET 2019 carries the correct answer options for the questions asked in the exam. PU CET 2019 answer key was released for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates also gets a couple of days to challenge or submit objections against the answer key of PU CET 2019 through e-mail only by paying the requisite fee.

PU CET 2019 result will be declared on May 15, 2019 for UG courses. The result of PU CET 2019 for UG courses carries the qualifying status of the candidates as “Qualified” or “Not qualified” for subject combinations - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and Mathematics only. General category candidates need to have at least 15% marks and reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) will need minimum 10% marks in the PU CET 2019 exam to be considered qualified in the exam.

PU CET Cut off 2019
PU CET cut off 2019 is the minimum marks candidates must secure in order to be considered eligible for the admission. Candidates taking PU CET 2019 must secure minimum 15% marks (for General category) and 10% marks (for SC/ST/PwD/BC) in order to be considered qualified in the exam.
Candidates are offered admission based on the final merit list which is prepared by combing 75% weightage given to PU CET 2019 percentile score+class 12th marks+weightage for other activities.
