About PU CET 2021
Panjab University has started the Panjab University admission 2021 for PU CET UG on July 19, in online mode. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria have to fill and submit the Panjab University application form 2021 by August 31. Panjab University has released the Panjab University 2021 admit card on September 10 on its official website.
Panjab University Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (PUCET) is conducted by Panjab University for admitting candidates to BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma programmes offered by the university and 188 participating colleges. The PU CET UG 2021 will be conducted in offline (Pen-paper) mode. After the commencement of the Panjab University 2021 admission test, the Panjab University result 2021 will be released on October 6 in the form of a merit list.
Candidates who appeared in the entrance exam can check the Panjab University result 2021 by visiting the official website of the university. Candidates can opt for subject combinations of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and Mathematics. Along with the combinations of PCB or PCM, candidates also have the option of taking an additional subject Biology/Mathematics. As per the Panjab University 2021 exam pattern, the question paper will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions and candidates are given 70 minutes to attend the entrance exam.

Candidates must have completed their class 10+2 or appeared in 10+2 exam conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council to be eligible to apply for PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Exam.
I.N.M.O. (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) Awardees can directly join B.Sc. (Hons.) programme at the Department of Mathematics. Such candidates do not need to appear for the PU CET entrance test.

PU CET Application Form 2021
Panjab University has released the PU CET UG 2021 application form on July 19 in online mode. The PU CET UG application form 2021 is released for candidates seeking admissions to UG courses offered by the university. The university releases a common PU CET 2021 application form for all UG courses such as BSc. (Hons.) and B.Pharma. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill PU CET application form 2021 by following the step by step procedures given below.
Stage I – Registration: To apply for PU CET 2021, candidates have to first register themselves by entering personal details such their name, email ID, contact number, etc.
Stage 2 – Log In: After registration, candidates need to login using the unique registration number and password which candidates must preserve till the time of admission.
Stage 3 – Fee Payment: The application fee can be paid via e-challan. Candidates need to enter the necessary details in the application form and generate the bank challan from the application form. Candidates have to pay the application fee via e-challan which can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India. Application fee details are mentioned below.

Stage 4 – Uploading Documents and Filling Application: In this section, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their photograph and signature (as per the prescribed specifications), and fill other required information.
Stage 5 – Preview Application Form: Here, candidates can preview the details filled in the application form and can edit/modify/change the particulars in case necessary.
Stage 6 – Print Application: At last, candidates have to printout the submitted PU CET application form. Candidates are advised to keep the application safe for future reference.

As per the PU CET exam pattern 2021, candidates will be given 70 minutes for the entrance exam. The question paper of PUCET UG exam will comprise of 60 questions and each of those questions carries 2 marks. The questions appearing in the PU CET exam will be multiple types questions which are asked from the syllabus of 10+2. The PU CET question paper is written in English medium and the entrance exam is conducted in computer-based mode. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the candidate's total marks. For each correct answer, candidates are rewarded with 2 marks.
The university has released the PU CET admit card 2021 for UG programmes on September 10, in online mode. Candidates who have completed the application process can download the PU CET 2021 admit card using their login ID and Password which are generated at the time of generating the Bank Challan. Once candidates have downloaded their PU CET admit card 2021, they should check the admit card and make sure that all the mentioned details are correct and legit. Candidates must bring their PU CET 2021 admit card and ID proofs with themselves to the exam centre on the exam day.

Panjab University will release the PU CET 2021 answer key in online mode after the commencement of the entrance exam. Candidates who took the entrance exam can download the PU CET answer key 2021 by visiting the official website of Panjab University. The PU CET 2021 answer key comprises the correct answer options for all the questions asked in the entrance exam. Using the PU CET answer key 2021, candidates can calculate their probable marks based on the answer given in the entrance exam. PU CET Exam Pattern 2021 for B.Sc. (Hons.)
The subject combination of PU CET UG 2021 differs as per the course opted for. For BSc. in Botany and Zoology, candidates have to opt for subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) only, which will be held for 3.30 hours (70 minutes for each of the three pages). For the rest of the courses except Mathematics, candidates have to opt for subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM). The paper combinations of PCB or PCM is held for a duration of 3.30 hours, however, when an additional paper (Mathematics or Biology) is opted for along with either of the combinations, the exam duration is 4.40 hours. For BSc. in Mathematics, candidates are required to opt for Mathematics paper only which is held for 70 minutes only. Each paper is held on the same day, but in different time slots for 70 minutes each. Candidates need to answer 60 objective type questions from each paper. Each correct answer fetches 2 marks, while .25 or 1/4th marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
PU CET B.Pharma Exam Analysis
PU CET Exam Pattern 2021 – For B.Pharmacy
PU CET 2021 for B. Pharmacy will be held in an offline mode. Candidates can opt for a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), which was held for 3.30 hours. They can also opt for an additional subject – Mathematics or Biology with these combinations with an additional application fee of Rs. 300. When an additional subject is added along with the PCM and PCB combinations, the exam duration becomes 4.40 hours. Each Paper – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be held for 70 minutes wherein candidates have to answer 60 questions for 120 marks. The questions are objective in nature wherein each correct answer will get 1 mark, while for each incorrect answer, 1/4th or .25 marks will be deducted.
The university will release the PU CET 2021 result in the form of a provisional merit list on October 6, in online mode. Candidates can check the PU CET result 2021 through the online web portal of the university. The PU CET 2021 result contains the candidate's qualifying status such as “Qualified” or “Not qualified” for subject combinations - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and Mathematics only. Candidates belonging to the general category have to secure 15% marks, whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) only need to secure minimum 10% marks in the PU CET exam to be considered qualified in the entrance exam.

The PU CET cut off 2021 for UG programmes will be released in online mode. Candidates have to score the marks mentioned in the PU CET 2021 cut off to be eligible for admission. The PU CET cut off 2021 is prepared based on parameters such as the difficulty of the exam, highest marks and lowest marks scored in the exam, total seats and number of candidates who attended the entrance test. Point to be noted that the minimum amount of number of candidates need to score in the entrance exam varies for candidates depending upon the category they belong to. General category candidates appearing for the PU CET 2021 must secure at least 15% marks, while candidates of reserved category (SC/ST/PwD/BC) only need to secure 10% marks to be qualified for the exam.
Candidates are offered admission on the basis of the final merit list formulated by combing 75% weightage given to PU CET 2021 percentile score+class 12th marks+weightage for other activities.

The university will hold PU CET counselling 2021 in offline mode. Candidates have to first register online to take part in the PU CET 2021 counselling for seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates need to report to the allotted institute/department on the scheduled time and date to confirm their seat.
