Doon Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun offers admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Nursing, Ayurveda, Paramedical and Agriculture. Admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is granted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) followed by the counselling conducted by Uttarakhand Ayurveda University.   • Candidates must have passed HSC examination or its equivalent from a recognized board and must have secured a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (for general category students).

  • Applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. 

  • Candidates must have qualified NEET.

Merit-based 

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects recognized from AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any equivalent board and must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in the mentioned subjects. 

  • Applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. 

  • Candidates are required to be medically fit to qualify for admission.

BMRIT 

  • Candidates must have successfully completed the 10+2 examination with science, either in PCB/ PCM along with English core/ English elective subjects. 

  • Students holding a certificate in Diploma in the relevant field are also eligible. 

  • Applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

BSc Nursing 

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects recognized from AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any equivalent board and must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in the mentioned subjects. 

  • Applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

MSc Nursing 

  • Candidates should have completed B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.

  • Candidates must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent, registered with any State Nursing Registration Council.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of one year of work experience after completing Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

GNM

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 education with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English, securing an aggregate of 50% marks along with any one subject from Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, and English Core/Elective or Healthcare Science – Vocational Stream only and must have scored a minimum of 50% marks. 

  • Alternatively, candidates must have completed 10+2 education with English in the vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and have scored 50% marks in it. Candidates should be registered as ANM with the State Nursing Registration Council.

BSc Post Basic Nursing 

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination. 

  • Candidates should possess a GNM degree and should be registered nurse and midwife with any state Nursing Registration Council.

  • Candidates must have completed class 12 in science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics subjects) with 50% marks.

MPT

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

DIMS Dehradun Admission to BAMS Course 

  • NEET qualified candidates need to appear for Uttarakhand Ayurveda University Counselling. 

  • Candidates are required to fill an online application form by entering the required details, uploading the required documents and paying application fee. 

  • In the next step, candidates are required to fill and lock their preferences of colleges and courses. 

  • The authority publishes a merit list based on the NEET scores, choices filled and seat availability. 

  • Candidates with their names on the merit list are required to appear for the counselling process. 

  • Candidates who are granted seats during counselling at DIMS Dehradun are required to pay admission fees to complete the admission process.

At Doon Institute of medical science for BAMS the fees for first year is approximately INR 3.42 lakhs.

Hostel fees ranges from INR 60,000 to 1 lakhs per annum. And the security deposit is refundable which you will get back at the end of the course.
