Course Overview

The course of Marketing Management, which is in association with the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and is a part of the MicroMasters Programme is offered to the candidates by the platform of edX. This course aims to provide the students with in-depth information about how the marketing industry works. The candidates will be able to learn the fundamental concepts needed for pursuing a career in marketing, such as segmentation and positioning. 

The knowledge gained through this programme will help the candidates in analysing, tracking and reviewing resources of marketing and related activities. The candidates will make use of the various case studies and illustrations provided by applying them to real-world scenarios. 

This course is a total of 8 weeks, which can be easily completed by giving 2 to 3 hours of study on a weekly basis. This course is self-paced and hence leaves no scope for the candidates to worry about timings or the place from which they want to access the course contents. The programme provides two different enrolment tracks; paid and free. In the paid track, the learners will be given unlimited access and a certificate of completion whereas in the free audit track, they will have access only for a limited period of time.

Certification Qualifying Details

A shareable certificate will be awarded to those candidates that verify their course by paying a fee. Moreover, they are also required to have a total percentage of 60% or higher to be eligible for the certificate.

Pursuing course from swayam iimb is good choice

I am doing marketing course from swayam iimb online PG course. So courses are in two form online downloaded videos and live classes or webinar but the exam is offline just like as semester exam. And I got a chance to give four exams in this semester.

1: What are the minimum criteria for the certification?

There are no prerequisites for this course, however, the candidates must score at least 60% marks to be eligible for obtaining the certification. 

2: How can I pay?

Payments can be done using PayPal or credit cards. In case of any issues, feel free to contact the support team by clicking on the Help button available at the top left side of the page. 

3: How can I download the verified certificate?

Candidates who score at least 60% will be given a certificate which can be downloaded by clicking on your dashboard. 

4: Who will be providing assistance throughout the course?

Our course instructor, Ashis Mishra who is the Assistant Professor, Marketing at IIM Bangalore will be assisting the students with the course contents. 

5: Can I access this course if I reside in India?

This course is accessible to candidates residing in all parts of the world, including India. However, there are some exceptions like Iran, Cuba, and the Crimea region of Ukraine. 

6: Are there any facilities for refund?

Yes, the candidates have the option to upgrade or downgrade their selected courses for up to two weeks from the commencement of the course. After that, refunds will not be facilitated. 

7: What are the benefits that come with this certification?

Along with the certification, graded assignments will also be provided to the students to keep a check on their progress throughout the course. 

8: Can I transfer my scholarship amount to some other course?

No, these aids are provided per course. Hence, transferring the financial aid amount to another course is not possible. Candidates will be required to go through the application procedure again in case of a new course. 

9: Can I access the course being a person with disabilities?

edX provides courses for one and all, and hence they can be accessed by everyone irrespective of their disabilities. If the person requires special software or equipment for giving the exam may do so by being in contact with the support team first.
