NIFTEM-T Admission Details: Eligibility, Dates, Application, Fees

NIFTEM, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu offers admissions in B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D courses. The institute offers B.Tech. in only one specialisation- Food Technology. Students interested in pursuing a B.Tech. in Food Technology at the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur should have to secure a valid qualifying score in the JEE Main and appear for the JOSAA counselling rounds. For admission in M. Tech. programmes, the candidate will have to clear the IIFPTEE (Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu Entrance Examination) and fulfil the required eligibility criteria. For admission in doctorate programmes at the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur, the candidate will have to clear the entrance examination with the required cut-off along with the interview round conducted at the institute level.

NIFTEM-T has gained the status of Institute of National Importance (INI). Currently, the admission process for M. Tech. and Ph.D programmes are yet to begin, and the registration forms for the same will be uploaded on the institute website soon. After filling the registration form, the candidates will be admitted in the course on the basis of their UG score, which amounts to 30% and the IIFPTEE score, which will be considered 70%. The intake for B. Tech. in Food Technology in the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur is 75. For M. Tech. courses, the number of seats available are 12 per specialisation, and for Ph.D, the total all-India intake is 8 seats per specialization.

• The candidate has to fill out the JEE Mains application form available online and submit it without any errors before the final date of submission.
• The candidate has to download the admit card and appear for the JEE Mains entrance examination according to the given slot printed on the admit card.
• After the examination is conducted, the results will be announced by the exam body.
• The students have to check their qualifying scores and lock their preferences before the counselling rounds of JOSAA.
• The students have to appear for the counselling rounds of CSAB/JOSAA and will be allotted a seat based on the score of JEE Mains.
• Once the seat is allotted, the students have to submit their documents to the institute, pay the required course fee and begin their programme.

·       The candidates will have to fill out the application form of the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu entrance examination for M.Tech programmes after fulfilling the established eligibility criteria.

·       The candidate will have to appear for the IIFPTEE on the scheduled dates of the examination.

·       The results will be declared shortly after the examination is conducted.

·       The students will be allotted a seat for M.Tech. only on the basis of 30% merit scored in UG course and 70% entrance examination marks.

• The candidate must fill out and submit the application form for Ph.D courses in the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur
• According to the marks secured by the candidate in B.Tech and M.Tech. courses the candidate will be selected.
• The candidate will have to appear for the short-written test conducted by the institute.
• After the candidate successfully clears the written examination. He/she will have to appear for the personal interview round conducted by the institute for final selection.
