Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is a private college founded in 1997 located in Mysore. It is NAAC A recognized.

Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is a private institution as well established in 1986 and has NAAC B++ accreditation. It is located in Bangalore.

Vidyavardhaka has better faculty and infrastructure and can promise you a good campus life.

M.Visvesvaraya has maintained a record of decent placements over the years and has fewer fees.

Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, affiliated with TNAU, Chennai offers a number of courses at UG, PG and PhD level. For each level, admission takes place on the basis of qualifying marks of the concerned examination with marks secured in the conducted entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria pf different programs-

For BTech- Candidate should have passed 10+2 with minimum 55% marks and appeared in JEE Mains(Paper-II)

For MTech- Candidate should have passed BE or B.Tech degree in either of these disciplines Agricultural Engineering/ Food Process Engineering /Agricultural and Food Engineering / Food Processing and Preservation Technology / Food Technology and Management / Food Technology /Chemical Engineering/ Dairy Engineering with minimum 70% aggregate marks

(70% weigtage is given to entrance exam and 30% to merit of qualifying exam)

For PhD- Candidates who have completed ME or M.Tech course with minimum 70% marks in disciplines like Post Harvest Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Agricultural and Food Engineering/ Food Science and Technology/ Dairy and Food Engineering/ Agricultural Process Engineering/ Chemical Engineering are eligible to apply. Hi there as per your jee mains percentile and according to previous year cut off of Indian institute of crops processing technology (IICPT), thanjavur for open category was 42196 in 4 round . Therefore the probability of you to get this college is less but you can apply for the private colleges for the same branch.

If you have the home state quota then you have very low chances of getting this college but if you belong to other state then you cannot get this college through JEE mains score as your rank would be around 1lakh 50 thousand. I hope you have got the point.
