Management Fundamentals at The Wharton School, Philadelphia

People are by far the most precious asset in every organization, yet seem to be the most volatile and difficult to manage. And, even though effective people management is important to the survival of any organization, most managers do not acquire the skills and knowledge required to make effective management decisions. Management Fundamentals online certification was developed by Prof. Michael Useem and Prof. Peter Cappelli of the Wharton School and is accessible through the University of Pennsylvania in the United States in partnership with Coursera. 

Management Fundamentals online classes teach participants how to inspire individual performance, develop incentive systems, create jobs, coordinate efforts for superior efficiency, how to make excellent and prompt management decisions, and how to design and modify the structure of their business as well as develop people management, and time management skills. By the end of the Management Fundamentals online course, participants will have acquired the skills necessary to begin motivating, coordinating, and awarding individuals in their organization for it to succeed as a business and as a social institution.
