Hello Aspirant
Yes, it's a valid point that IIT Delhi is a highly regarded and prestigious institution. It's often considered one of the top engineering colleges in India, known for its rigorous academic standards, excellent faculty, and strong alumni network.
Some of the reasons why IIT Delhi is often considered a good choice include:
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi uses the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) advanced All India Rank (AIR) to admit students to its programs before appearing in jee advanced candidates need to qualify JEE Main (Paper 1) and they should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) then conducts counseling rounds to assign seats to the candidates.
The cutoff for IIT Delhi varies by category, domicile, and quota for example for general category candidates rank 4849 get admission till last round but cse has higher cutoff than other branches the last rank in 2024 for CSE is 1026.in contrast BTech in Electronics and VLSI Engineering has lowest cutoff.
There is no minimum rank one can predict for IIT Delhi as cutoff varies The minimum rank varies based on the program and category as it offers various branches like cse mechanical civil etc.analysing previous years For the general category, theminimum rank for admission to IIT Delhi is around 1,500 in the JEE Advanced exam. However, this cutoff can fluctuate slightly each year depending on the number of applicants and their performance.

Candidates who qualified the Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam held in December 2022 - June 2023 wouldn't be eligible to apply for PhD programs at IIT Delhi based solely on their NET score.
IIT Delhi conducts its own independent entrance exams and interview process for PhD admissions. Qualifying the CSIR-UGC NET doesn't automatically guarantee admission into an IIT Delhi PhD program.
The CSIR-UGC NET exam primarily serves as a qualifying exam for eligibility to apply for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship positions in Indian universities and colleges. While qualifying NET can enhance your application for PhD programs, it's not the sole selection criterion.
