I passed out of IIITD in 2017 but I must say when I visit it sometimes I am shocked at the new infrastructure everytime I go. Placements are getting better year by year. Last year the avg Btech package was 12+ lakhs and few students also got the highest Btech package in India. What makes this place better than most colleges is the quality faculty and very flexible curriculum. I was in ECE and was able to take many CS courses as I developed more interest towards ECE. I paid a visit recently and was also amazed to see so many students, new hostels, new indoor heated swimming pool, indoor sports arena, etc. To all the prospective candidates I strongly recommend you to join IIITD if you have interest in CS,ECE and Bio related areas.

Best Faculty,Excellent Placements, Infra,Flexible Curriculum

The title says it all. This is one of the best IT institutions in the country. For CS and ECE getting throught this college after the Top IIT's is a big achievement. Few years back DTU and NSIT were better but its not the case now. There is a lot of practical experience imparted. Faculty is excellent coming from top colleges in the world. Placements are one of the best in India which is the most important (Avg 12 lakhs salary !). Curriculum is v flexible. Campus Centrally Air conditioned. Indoor solar Heated half-olympic size pool opening soon with a dedicated sports block. Hard to expect from a state govt university. Only thing to consider before joining- YOU SHOULD NOT DISLIKE CODING. Whatever stream you take there is a lot of coding involved. Also if you want only campus life and want to only chill in college pls go to some other college. Do not expect a chill college life here.

I think here IIIT-Delhi is way ahead of most of the colleges in the country in terms of research opportunities . IIIT-Delhi is a research driven institute and here faculties have done their PhDs from top-class universities like CMU, UCLA, NTU, IISc, IITs,etc. Many UnderGrads had their research papers published at international conferences. Some really students from NSIT/DTU worked with faculty on some key projects even during the semester.

For studying Computer Science and Electronics and Communications Engineering, there is no better place in India to learn. Opportunities are increasing fast. Although the college was founded less than a decade ago, it has already made a name for itself in Academic circles, and is showing exponential growth. Much is expected in the coming years. Last but not the least, the institute also focuses on holistic growth reflected by the fact that it awards bonus marks for admission for sports and cultural activities along with a very strong Humanities and Social Sciences department.

My experience has been great here till now. Infra is awesome and the WIFI too. Faculty, great. Placements great. IIITD was established in 2008, and in such a less time the position and value it had gained is really great. And it's still developing. There are a lot of clubs, anybody can start their own club. Students have the freedom to introduce new courses too if they have knowledge about it and have researcher about it.

Iiit is so known that I don't think so Iiit needs reviews but still it's a really good college wth the best faculty they can give. They are so helpful that no student finds problem dealing with them. I feel I am at the best place. Engineering is not an easy task but this place is making efforts for the best

Awesome college for a person to do research and learn many new things. Also, a faculty is excellent. Weekly tutorials and labs help us a lot. Institute is mainly focussed on learning. Hostels and infrastructure are quite impressive. Ragging is strictly prohibited and the seniors are very co- operative. New projects are being to work on frequently. Many opportunities are provided to the students which help in their overall development.

The college has great faculty, amazing infrastructure and offers tremendous opportunities for growth in both academic and non-academic areas. Seniors and faculty are very supportive and encourage novel ideas. Students gets a chance to associate with research teams at a very nascent stage which allows better exposure and good experience.

When it comes to quality of education, it is very good owing to excellent infrastructure, well qualified and supportive faculty and well-designed course structure to give students exposure. The course structure is especially very good as compared to other IT or CSE course at other institutes. About student life, Institute provides excellent facilities to students. Good facilities are provided at Hostels too including AC's for hostels, fast Internet. The internet speed is just awesome. The institute provided good research opportunities for those who are interested.

If you can (and even if you cant) distance yourself from the performance and attitude of other students, placements woes, infrastructural challenges of Okhla, extracurriculars, Delhi college-student culture, brand name and other miscellanies, NOT to suggest any of these things about IIITD are bad at all. In my honest opinion, IIITD offers easily one of the best (if not the best) undergraduate academic experience you can find in India. Academics Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi are undoubtedly the best among all other engineering colleges in India and I am counting IIT's. IIIT-D offers the best curriculum and research opportunities and the pace from which it is growing everyone will realize it soon. You can look this answer What is it like to be a student at IIIT-D? The person here has given a very critical view but believe me If someone gives it for other colleges out there it is probably going to be much worse.

Excellent college for IT and CSE Engineering

As far as IIIT-Delhi is concerned, I would like to mention that its computer science program in very good. IIIT-Delhi being a research-centric university motivates their students for a research career like going for a Masters or Ph.D. programs in US or India. There are many research groups like Precog Research group solving Information Security problems, Image Analysis and Biometrics Lab, Mobile Ubiquitous Computing group, IRIS-SYS lab in collaboration with one of a South-Korean Companies, Cryptography group etc. As 95% of faculty have received their PhDs from top notch schools like CMU, Ohio State University, Rutgers University, UIUC, UMD etc, their style of teaching is very good and is research based. Moreover, professors here have a wide network around the US too which somehow proves to be helpful. For example, Dr. ** **, [email protected] and a CMU Alumni is known for his great contribution in Cyber-Security and his Precog Research [email protected] Even Dr. ** from UCSB appreciated his contribution in cyber-security in two of his quora post. If you look alumni profile of IIIT-Delhi, most of the students pursue higher studies from top notch schools in the world like Georgia Tech, CMU, Columbia University, Princeton University, Oxford University, UIUC, University of Notre Dame etc. The stats of alumni profiles' clearly shows that to what extent they would have done work during their [email protected] in order to make their profile strong enough to get into world's top 20 Computer Science universities. Now, if we look from Placement point of view, I would say that it is good too. Companies like Amazon recruited 4 students from on-campus placement and offered 7 students Pre-Placement Offer after an internship. Adding more to this, A+ companies like Adobe, Xerox Research, Flipkart, Myntra, SnapDeal, Work Applications etc come for recruitment. So, I have pen down all I knew about IIIT-Delhi.Being an IIT-Delhi student and having close-net with IIIT-Delhi students, I feel it is a great institute to study computer science because it offers a pool of opportunities to their students.

IIIT Delhi is a relatively new institute and is already making news for its different curriculum and culture. Courses are completely tech-oriented from the first year itself and there are numerous opportunities for those interested in research in a variety of fields. The faculty is one of the best parts. Most of them are quite young, have completed their PhDs from reputed universities, and interact heartily with students. Placements are pretty good, with 98% of B.Tech students getting placed in a previous year. The institute has gathered good name in academic circles. https://www.iiitd.ac.in/placement/stats The most important thing is that this institute serves its purpose best for those who are 'genuinely interested' in engineering. The campus is small yet beautiful, and currently on its way to expansion. Excellent classrooms and labs, along with most meticulously designed hostel rooms. The campus boasts of badminton, basketball and tennis courts, pool, table tennis, foosball. We have a great gym and activities like yoga and aerobic sessions are conducted too. The tech-fest, Esya, sees good participation from various colleges. We also have cultural fests like Odyssey and Cadence. The IIIT-D community is pretty close-knit where the seniors are most friendly and could actually turn out to be your best friends, and help with great advice whether it's academic or personal issues. No scene of ragging at all. And there are so may club to be a part of, based on one's interests and hobbies. What's more, any sort of initiative by a student is encouraged and students' opinions are considered in many important decisions.

Well, for the Tech Geeks who lose technology, coding and speak C, C++, Java, SQL and all those languages I cannot speak, the Latin and Greek, well guys, this is your Greece and this place will turn you into Gods and place you to Facebook and Google. For MBA aspirants like me who want a more wholesome exposure, it will hone your personality such such that when you leave the place, no-one will believe you are JUST an engineer. So Kudos to this place. And utilise the faculty to the max, because the awesome genuise cool oldies you get here (youngest, most bright engg faculty of the country), you won't get anywhere else.

It is one of the very few institutes in India which put emphasis on pure research, especially at the level of Bachelor degree. While we have seen multiple students pass out with high flying jobs, we have seen many more go for higher studies and research in Ivy League institutions of the world. The institute boasts of excellent faculty and placements with one of a kind curriculum and it provides for a very inspiring learning experience.

Never forgetting experience

Batch of 2013 | M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
Being just a 2 year old institute, this college promises to be among the top colleges for Information Technology, and is already an Institute of National Importance. Once shifted to the new campus, it’ll be a way better college. But, you should be warned that you should come here only if you are interested in IT, else you’ll be in for a torrid time. At IIIT, practical learning is focused. Summer Internships, training and placement are world class here. There is a dedicated Training & Placement office, which takes care of all these responsibilities. Students of the first batch itself have got internships at various companies in India and abroad, at places like Nokia, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Accenture, Uninor. The placements of the first batch have also been very good, with similar companies hiring students

Great college for development

Posted on 21 Oct' 15 by Rehan
Batch of 2011 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
The infrastructure (for that aspect) is in transit, and the current infrastructure is a little problematic as there is nothing set aside for them particularly. But it’s going to shift to its Okhla Campus in the next semester, and that campus is going to be much better than the current in-transit campus. Nevertheless currently the labs are okay, and are said to be satisfactorily. The fees you would have to pay here is a fair 50,000 rupees a semester. Now at an institute of National Significance, and a state university, the college justifies its reputation with professors that are equally good. Highly qualified faculties teach at the IIIT, all pass outs from IIT’s and IIT PhD holders, and more than half have their PhDs’ from some of the most reputed American Universities.

IIIT-D is a very good institute for engineering aspirants.if learning and honing one's knowledge and skills is the main motive of a student, then this is the place to be at.faculty of every course is highly qualified and at par of those at IITs.there are various clubs of which a student can be a part according to his/her interest.as far as placements are concerned, it is very good and all the students get placed on campus.however, for a technical degree, it is secondary to the knowledge perspective of the course.

the college focuses on research, teaches u difficult topics from beginning, expecting you to do each and everything on your own. That means every assignment, HW, etc to be done by one self, hence the grading policy is too bad. The professors here just focus on completing the course, nothing else.

It gives a platform to build a great personality and learn a lot not just in the field of academics but sports, arts, etc. Highly qualified teachers from all over the world make it an opportunity to explore the depths of your field. Care is taken to cater to every need of a student. A student is trained to work under high pressure. ECE doesn't guaranty good core placements here too but this is mainly because of comparatively less vacancy in the sector.

It is definitely one of the finest colleges in the country for CSE.It may only be inferior to IIIt-H and older iits and maybe BITS Pilani. Faculty wise it can even be compared to older iits .IIT-Kanpur 's dean of academic affairs Dheeraj Sanghvi rated our college on the same level as iiit-Hyderabad and better than Bits,Pilani in CSE and he is leaving IIT -Kanpur to join IIIT-Delhi the coming year.IIIT-Delhi is definitely the fastest growing college in the country.
