Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) is a State University established by an Act of Delhi Government. The institute carries out advanced research and development in the area of Information Technology and leverages IT in specific domain areas. IIIT-Delhi has six departments, they are Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Computational Biology, Human-Centered Design, Social Science and Humanities, and Mathematics. It also has four Research Centres, they are Infosys Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Centre for Computational Biology, Centre for Design and New Media. These centres are sponsored by TCS and Centre for Technology and Policing.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) is situated at Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase III, New Delhi. The nearest metro station is Govind Puri Metro Station which is about 1 km away from the institution. Student can reach to the college by road transport, through both bus routes as well as auto-rickshaws or e-rickshaws from the nearest Metro or bus station.

Astronauts: This is the astronomy club of IIIT Delhi. The club helps in uniting astronomy enthusiasts in IIITD and provides them with a medium to practice and enjoy their passion in the field.
Bio-Bytes: The club organises the talk. The talk discusses the methodologies pertaining to the Computational Biology domain. It examines trends in technology, the way it affects, the way we live and do business and solve the problems. The club invites industry veterans to come and talk about the problems they are working on and share their experience so far.
Byld: Byld is the software development club of IIIT-Delhi. The members of this club build apps and hacks using various tools and technologies.
Cyborg: This is a Robotic Club of IIIT-D. It provides a space for all the interested people to come together and build things that matter. The club helps with resources, space, funding and time. In this club, students work on the automation of things
E-Cell - Entrepreneurship Club: Evariste - Maths Club: The club works with the objective to prevent global warming and create awareness about not to pollute the environment. It regularly organises activities related to the social contributions to the environment.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC): The club of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi aims to develop an institutional mechanism to create an entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster the growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty and students.
Hostel: The college has a separate facility of hostel for boys and girls. It is provided with uninterrupted water supply, reading hall, round the clock security, internet connection, indoor recreation, television etc. The kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels and a customized menu caters to the students' needs. Hygiene and cleanliness are emphasized in the hostel.
Ink - Design Club: This club is a group of students who are interested in graphic design.
FooBar: This is the programming club of IIIT Delhi. The club has a twofold aim: to improve the overall programming culture at IIIT-D, and to improve IIIT-Delhi’s performance in prestigious contests like ACM ICPC.
Machaan - Theatre Club: The theatre club of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi is a good platform for the students to showcase their talent in acting. The street play team of the college actively represents the college in inter-college competitions.
Madtoes - Dance Club: The aim of the Dance society is to spread the joy and wonder of the Indian classical dance forms among the students of IIIT Delhi. The society regularly participates in classical dance competitions and organise dance programmes.
Prayas - ECO Club: The club works with the objective to prevent global warming and create awareness about not to pollute the environment. It regularly organises activities related to the social contributions to the environment.
Tasveer - Photography Club: The club of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi makes an effort to connect and motivate the students towards photography. The club organises photography exhibitions, various competitions, workshops, photo walks etc.
The Chess Club- The 65th Square: The members of this club actively take part in the chess and organise various competitions.
Triviallis - Quizzing Club: The objective of quiz club of IIITD is to popularize quizzing activities among students and to encourage them to take part in all competitive examinations at the state and central level.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi offers admissions to students on programmes like B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. The Institute offers admissions to B.Tech programmes based on JEE Main scores and to M.Tech programmes based on GATE scores. The Institute also offers admission to doctoral programmes based on the scores of a written test and interview conducted by the authority. Admission process for B.Tech.(CSE), B.Tech.(ECE), B.Tech.(CSAM), B.Tech.(CSB), B.Tech. CSD and B.Tech CSSS
Admission to the above courses will be through JoSAA which comprises Joint Admission Counselling (JAC).
The candidates need to apply online through the JoSAA portal based on their JEE Main scores.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the JEE main score.
The shortlisted candidates have to appear for JoSAA counselling which will be done along with Delhi Technological University (DTU), Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) (formerly, NSIT), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
The seat will be allotted to the candidate in JoSAA counselling.
Some seat of B.Tech CSD will be done through UCEED Rank and some seats of B. Tech CSSS will be filled through class 12th marks score.
Admission process for M.Tech Programmes
First Stage (For GATE & Non-GATE)
GATE qualified candidates will be screened based on their previous academic record and GATE scores. Non-GATE candidates will be screened based on their previous academic record only.
Second Stage (For GATE)
The screened candidates based on GATE scores have to appear for a coding test at IIIT-Delhi.
Second Stage (Non-GATE)
The screened non-GATE candidates have to appear for a written examination and coding test at IIIT-Delhi.
Third Stage (For GATE & Non-GATE)
Based on the test (s) results and previous academic record, qualified candidates will be interviewed at IIIT-Delhi campus.
Admission process for Ph.D in (Computational Biology (CB), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Human Centre & Design (HCD), Mathematics (Maths), and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
The candidates have to apply online through the admission portal on the official website of IIIT-D and submit the application form along with the statement of purpose.
Shortlisted candidate have to appear for a written test which will be followed by an interview.
The final selection will be based on academic credentials, written test and interview.
IIITD has the facilities of the library, canteen, and lab. The institute also provides facilities of sports to promote physical and extracurricular activities among students. Mess: There is a common mess for the boys and girls which function during the working semester. Air conditioning is provided in the mess during lunchtime. During the winter and summer vacations, a special mess is run for students who are required to stay in the hostels for pursuing academic, sports or cultural activities. It is compulsory for all hostel residents to avail the mess facilities.
Cafeteria: In addition to the common mess, there are two cafeterias, one located in the academic building and the other in the common mess building which caters to the needs of the students and faculty.
Sports: Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess are available in the hostel. The college has a well-furnished football field and cricket fields. It also has a hockey field, handball, volleyball and badminton court.
GYM: IIIT Delhi has well-equipped gym facilities for the healthy lifestyle of the students.
Stationery Shop: Stationery and photocopy facility is provided within the campus for the benefit of the students and staff.
ATM: The institute has ATM facilities on its campus.
Library: The Library of IIITD has a vast collection of volumes, which includes textbooks, reference books & Bound volumes of Journals, Standards etc. It has computerized all its housekeeping activities using Library software that is being maintained and updated regularly. which is connected to the campus-wide network. The library is provided with a Web OPAC (On-line Public Access Catalogue) facility.
Computer Lab: There are three computer labs for undergraduate students. All lab machines are dual-boot with Linux and Windows 64 bit operating systems. These systems are equipped with almost all general-purpose computing software.
ECE lab: This lab acts as a research lab to research scholars, research associates and interns, and also as a course lab for thesis and course projects.
Well-being Cell: The Well-being Cell of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi offers counselling services and provides timely psychological support to the students and staff. This helps them to gain understanding and insight into difficulties & challenges students are facing and develop emotional resilience. This enables students to fulfill their academic and personal potential.
As IIIT Delhi is one of the known institutions of India, and CSE branch is highly demanding branch nowadays. There is very tough competition for CSE branch so cut-offs are also very high.
As you belongs to one of the reservation categories i.e. OBC so you will get advantage of this also.
According to previous year's trend you need to secure your rank under 17,000 than only you can try for IIIT Delhi CSE branch.

As ece means electronic and communication department is good in IIIT delhi as it is top college in India as it has top ranking in the world also and chemical engineering in Mumbai is also agood choice in ICT Mumbai as both the department's are good and both the institutes have tge top ranking better compare to both the department's placements wise India have most of the openings in ECE Means electronic and communication department compared to chemical engineering btech course so i think you better prefer for the electronic and communication department as there are good government jobs and also you can start a start up also so you can prefer this department so that ypu can have a bright future and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

As you scored 70.8 percent in your 10+2 and 75 percent in the mathematics and you wanted to get seat in the iit delhi to get seat in iit delhi you should attempt for jee entrance examination after qualifying of jee mains you may get eligibility to write jee advanced exam and based on jee advanced marks you may get seat in iit delhi so study well and work hard to get good marks in the iit delhi and all the best for your future and i think my suggestions and knowledge may help ful and also useful to u.
