Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi admissions are available for courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. IIIT Delhi admission to most of the B.Tech courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the JEE Main entrance examination. What is the IIIT Delhi Registration Process?

• Candidates must visit the IIIT Delhi official website.

• Afterwards, candidates applying through the JEE Mains score must apply through the JAC portal. Candidates applying through UCEED rank or Class 12th marks must apply through the IIIT Delhi admission portal.

• Applicants must carefully scan and upload all the necessary documents (eg. scorecards, statement of purpose, certificates)

• Candidates must then submit the IIIT Delhi application form after payment of IIIT Delhi application fees. 

Note: Candidates have to remember that the IT Delhi application fees are non-refundable. Therefore, they must fill out the form very carefully with the correct details.

IIIT Delhi B.Tech Admissions 2026

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi offers 9 courses at the undergraduate level. The IIIT Delhi B.E/B.Tech courses are offered for 4 year duration in offline full-time mode only. IIIT Delhi BTech admissions will be offered based on fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria as well as the performance in the JEE Mains or UCEED exam. • Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions must ensure that they meet the IIIT Delhi B.Tech eligibility criteria as mentioned in the table above.

• The candidates seeking IIIT Delhi B.Tech CSD admissions must appear for and qualify JEE Main or UCEED. 

• The candidates applying for IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions for CSSS must appear for and qualify JEE Mains. Some seats will also be filled based on the performance of the candidate in Class 12th provided the candidate is not eligible for JEE Mains. 

• IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions for the remaining specialisations will be done based on the performance of the candidate in JEE Main. 

• The candidates qualifying JEE Mains examination must apply and attend Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). The seats will be allotted to the candidates.

• In order to finalise IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions, candidates will then be required to submit all the necessary documents for verification.

• IIIT Delhi B.Tech admission process will be complete after payment of the requisite fees.

• For international students: Fill out the online application form. Appear for the online maths test and then interact with the Admission Committee. Deposit the fee and join the on-campus Induction Programme.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admissions 2026

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi offers 10 courses at the postgraduate level. IIIT Delhi M.Tech courses are for 2 years  each and are to be pursued in full-time mode only.

• The candidates must meet IIIT Delhi M.Tech admission eligibility criteria.

• Candidates must fill the online application form for IIIT Delhi M.Tech admissions via the official website.

• For admissions to M.Tech CSE, the candidates must appear and qualify GATE examination or the offline entrance examination PG CAT conducted by IIIT Delhi. 

• For the admissions in M.Tech ECE and M.Tech CB, the candidates must appear and qualify the GATE examination. In case the candidates have not appeared for the GATE, admissions will be done in 2 stages. In the first stage, initial screening will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying exam and some of them will be selected for the second stage for an online interview.

• Candidates who qualify IIIT Delhi GATE cutoff or the PG CAT cutoff will be required to appear in an interview. 

• Seats will be allotted based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination or qualifying examination and interview.

IIIT Delhi Ph.D Admissions 2026

• Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions must submit an online application through IIIT Delhi official website. 

• IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions will be granted in three forms — Rolling admissions, Regular admissions and Sponsored admissions.

• Candidates applying through rolling admissions are required to seek prior approval of the faculty member they wish to work under before applying. 

• A sponsored candidate has to submit a Sponsoring Certificate on proper letter-head stating that for the period of his/her studies in the programme, the candidate would be treated as on duty and that he/she will be allowed to take courses at IIIT-Delhi and conduct research.

• All the candidates (Rolling, Regular or Sponsored) need to fill the online application form and pay the non-refundable.

• Based on their applications, academic credentials, statement of purpose, CV and other details candidates will be invited for a written test and/or interview. 

• Only those candidates who have cleared the written test will be invited for the interview round. 

• Students who successfully clear the IIIT Delhi Ph.D interview round will be eligible for admissions to the respective course of their choice. IIIT Delhi Ph.D admission will be complete after verification of the necessary documents by the appropriate authorities.
