The college infrastructure was very good at that time, the facilities and the equipments there were better than any college in delhi at that time. There was no wifi at that time because it was lesser in India at that time, good message and canteen , hygienic food was there
No doubt the academics is very very good and it can be considered better than some IITs and NITS, you have to score a good amount of marks in jee mains to qualify in this college. So yes best curriculum was there.
Placements is also very good and the in college placements is also very good, big MNCs come at the time of placements. The highest salary at that time was 60lpa but that was not recorded because so the management and all.
It's a good college with infrastructure but it's a small one, although it has all the facilities such as the sports room, the library, the girls common room and another common room. There's Air conditioning and heater in every class.
Academics are good since the curriculum followed here is the updated one, the professors are from top colleges such as IIMs and IITs etc...there are doubt sessions and practical sessions for every subject.
Placements are average because it's fairly a new college [2017) the East Campus. There are many good companies that come for placements and internships for every year. Internship notifications are sent every now and then.
I would say it's a bit expensive but a better option that various colleges that are low tier or mid tier.
It's a small college so not really a campus life, there are no hostels just pgs around it and the college societies keep doing something in the campus like dandiya night or be it startup bazaar.
Overall it's a pretty decent college, good for backup and the infrastructure and the facilities are good here. The washrooms are hygienic, there are lawns where you can sit or play. There's badminton court and tennis room and volleyball and basketball area. Consider it if you're not getting a good government college. The bba course here is better than the other colleges. I would recommend it definitely, it's a fun college to be in. You will miss after graduating. Seniors are good and supportive.

Legendary and high energy
The college has an excellent infrastructure. Multiple modern buildings, amazing sports complex, all the basic necessary infra is well provided and best labs are provided. Dtu rest assured has one of the best campuses in the whole country. It has a very beautiful and modern academic block.
The academics provided are very well up to date and industry fit. The attendance is a bit chill which gives the students ample of time for self study and self exploration beyond college academics. The college ensures the students have all round growth
The college provides amazing placements. Highest salaries each year are offered in crores, and avg placement ranges from 15 to 18 LPA depending on the branch. All top companies come to our college for placements, it can be said that the college gives enough platform to its students to achieve whatever they want.
The academic blocks are a bag. The new buildings are in condition with okay seating, projector setups and working air conditioning. But some of the parts are really different. Walls are peeling furniture is old and equipment is worn out. The quality really depends on which department you are in.
The teachers at DTU are really different from one another. There are some professors who're very good. They know a lot about their subject they do research and they are the kind of teachers that you will remember for a long time. Students who study Electronics, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering often say things about certain professors who do more than just teach what is in the book. These professors actually make their students think. There is another side to this. A lot of the teaching is about memorizing things. The teacher writes notes, on the board reads from slides and summarizes textbooks without really adding anything new. Students say that they have sat through classes that feel like they are just going through the motions than actually learning something. The professor you get for a subject can really make or Break your semester.
The high packages are real. They are not what most students get. Most students have a normal experience. Their packages are not as high as the ones advertised. The reality is more complex, than what the university brochures show. The headline packages are real.. They are not common. The median experience is quieter, more modest and more complicated than the brochure suggests. They do not represent what most students experience.
DTU university has low fees compared to private engineering colleges. You pay an amount for a whole year at DTU. This is much cheaper than a college. For example the annual fees at DTU would only cover one semester at some colleges. For students from Delhi this is an offer. They get an education at a low cost. It has a great value for money.
This is where Delhi Technological University really does a job. They get people to participate from colleges over the country they have real performers and speakers and students are almost entirely in charge of running them. The way these events are organized is really impressive and, for students who help run these events Delhi Technological University festivals are often something that they really learn from.
For some students, the freedom is exciting. For others, it can feel like being left to figure things out alone.
infrastructure is decent enough for a govt college, classrooms have projectors, some smart boards but some dont work. wifi exists, sometimes unstable labs are manageable, IT labs are nice. library is pretty good, nice books and quite place to sit and study. sports facilities are available but mediocre. hostels are also fine, and fees also i guess is fair
studying IT at DTU, good decision overall. professors are knowledgeable, some are really good actually, teaching quality varies but IT department is fairly decent curriculum covers fundamentals well, lags a bit on newer tech but you can cover that through projects and internships
placements are DTU are pretty good. IT and CSE students mostly get placed through campus itself, highest packages have reached around 40-50 lpa in CSE, and avg is around 10-15 lpa, which is decent for govt college. placement cell is active and the DTU brand brings in companies here
fees is around 1.5-2 lakhs per year which is very reasonable, for brand value, placements are exposure you get, DTU is good value for money
campus is big and green, engifest is a highlight. students are competitive but many are also helpful, location in rohini is well connected and safe also
The infrastructure of the college is very amazing because they give all the best facilities to the students and doesn't feel like ignoring the students. Buildings are not old they are built strongly enough.
The academics also mind blowing and all the professors are very supporting in nature and and always solve the doubts of The students and they also supports them in extra works like industry visits and all
Placement of the college is too good and they always do support the students in placement process and also give them guidance to make the resume and all . They give proper schedule of the companies to students.
I am currently pursuing Chemical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), and my experience with the college infrastructure and facilities has been highly satisfactory. DTU provides all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for both academic excellence and overall development. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors and audio systems, which make lectures more interactive and engaging. The Chemical Engineering laboratories are well-equipped with essential instruments and machinery that help students gain practical knowledge alongside theoretical concepts. These labs are regularly used and are properly maintained, ensuring a smooth learning experience. The university library is another strong point, offering a vast collection of textbooks, reference materials, research papers, and digital resources. It provides a quiet and comfortable environment for studying. Additionally, DTU has excellent sports facilities, including grounds and courts for various indoor and outdoor games, encouraging students to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The hostel facilities are also quite good. The living spaces are clean, well-maintained, and provide a comfortable environment for students. Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure hygiene across the परिसर. The food served in the mess is generally hygienic, with decent variety and quality, catering to the needs of students. Overall, DTU ensures that its facilities are well-maintained and effectively utilized, creating a supportive and enriching environment for students.
I am currently pursuing Chemical Engineering, a field that combines principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to solve real-world industrial problems. I chose this course because of my interest in understanding large-scale chemical processes and their applications in industries such as energy, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. It offers diverse career opportunities and strong potential for innovation. The quality of teaching at my college is quite good. Most faculty members are knowledgeable, experienced, and supportive. They focus not only on theoretical concepts but also encourage practical understanding through lab work, assignments, and discussions. Many professors are approachable and willing to help students beyond classroom hours, which enhances the overall learning experience. The curriculum is fairly well-structured and is periodically updated to include recent developments in the field. It covers core subjects such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and reaction engineering, along with some exposure to modern topics. However, like most engineering programs, there is still some scope to incorporate more industry-oriented tools and emerging technologies. Overall, the course provides a strong foundation and helps in developing analytical and problem-solving skills. While additional self-learning and internships are important, the curriculum does contribute significantly toward making students job-ready.
The quality of placements at my college, Delhi Technological University (DTU), has been consistently strong over the years. The university attracts a wide range of reputed companies from various sectors including engineering, consulting, IT, and core industries, providing students with diverse career opportunities. A significant percentage of students get placed every year, especially in branches like Computer Engineering, IT, and other circuit branches where the placement rate is very high, often above 85–90%. For core branches like Chemical Engineering, the placement percentage is slightly lower but still decent, with many students securing roles in both core companies and non-core sectors such as analytics, consulting, and IT. The highest salary package offered usually goes to students from Computer Engineering or IT branches, sometimes exceeding ₹1 crore per annum in international offers, while domestic packages can go above ₹50 lakh per annum. For Chemical Engineering and similar branches, the packages are comparatively moderate but still respectable. The average salary offered across the university generally ranges between ₹10–15 lakh per annum, while for Chemical Engineering it is typically around ₹6–9 lakh per annum. The placement process is fairly structured and organized. The Training and Placement Cell is supportive and actively helps students with training sessions, resume building, and interview preparation. Overall, the process is smooth and pleasant for most students who are well-prepared.
The cost of my course, B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), is moderate compared to many other top engineering colleges. The total tuition fee for the entire 4-year course is around ₹7.4–11 lakh, which comes to approximately ₹2.5–3 lakh per year depending on the academic year and additional charges. () If hostel and mess expenses are included, the overall cost increases, but it is still considered reasonable for a reputed government institution. In my opinion, the college offers good value for money. DTU provides strong infrastructure, experienced faculty, and good placement opportunities, which justify the fees. Being a government university, the cost is significantly lower than many private engineering colleges offering similar or even lesser opportunities. Additionally, scholarships and financial assistance schemes are available for eligible students, which further reduce the financial burden. The return on investment (ROI) is quite satisfactory. With decent average placement packages and exposure to both technical and non-technical career paths, students are able to recover their investment over time. Apart from placements, the overall development, industry exposure, and networking opportunities also add significant value. Overall, I feel that the fees are justified considering the quality of education, campus facilities, and career opportunities provided by DTU. It strikes a good balance between affordability and quality, making it a worthwhile investment for students pursuing engineering.
The campus of Delhi Technological University (DTU) is one of its strongest highlights. Spread over a large area of around 160+ acres, it is spacious, green, and well-maintained, creating a very pleasant environment for students. The infrastructure is modern, with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, a large central library, sports complexes, hostels, and various student facilities that support both academics and extracurricular growth (). One of the best features of the campus is the availability of diverse facilities in one place, along with a vibrant student life. Students can engage in a wide range of activities beyond academics. The college hosts technical fests, cultural events, hackathons, workshops, and various society activities, which help in overall personality development and networking. Sports facilities are also excellent, with grounds and courts for multiple games, encouraging students to stay active. These opportunities make campus life dynamic and engaging. In terms of drawbacks, the campus location in Rohini is slightly on the outskirts of Delhi, which can make connectivity to some parts of the city a bit time-consuming. Also, while the campus itself is very good, some facilities like mess variety or certain hostels can still be improved based on student feedback. The students at DTU are generally competitive, talented, and diverse, coming from different parts of the country. The peer group is strong, which creates a healthy academic environment. Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, and the support staff is helpful in maintaining campus operations. The campus is considered safe, with 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, and controlled entry systems in place. Emergency facilities such as a health center and medical services are also available, ensuring student well-being . Overall, DTU offers a safe, resourceful, and vibrant campus environment with only minor areas for improvement.
