IIIT Delhi Admission Process

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi admissions 2024 are available for courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The IIIT Delhi admission 2024 to most of the B.Tech courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the JEE Main entrance examination. IIIT Delhi admissions 2024 to B.Tech CSD and CSSS are also accepted on the basis of UCEED marks or the performance in the qualifying exam respectively.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech and Ph.D admissions will be based on the scores obtained in the GATE examination or a separate PG CAT examination conducted by IIIT Delhi itself. Candidates are also required to clear an additional interview round before receiving a confirmed admission offer from IIIT Delhi. The details of IIIT Delhi application and admission process for various courses for the upcoming session 2024-2025 are given below.

IIIT Delhi Application Process 2024-2025

Candidates must visit the IIIT Delhi official website.
Candidates applying through JEE Mains score must apply through the JAC portal.
Candidates applying through UCEED rank or Class 12th marks must apply through the IIIT Delhi admission portal.
Applicants must carefully scan and upload all the necessary documents.
Candidates must then submit the IIIT Delhi application 2024 form after payment of IIIT Delhi application fees. IIIT Delhi application fees are non-refundable.

IIIT Delhi UG Admissions 2024-2025

The college offers 8 courses at the undergraduate level. The IIIT Delhi B.E/B.Tech courses are offered for 4 year duration in offline full-time mode only. IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2024 will be offered on the basis of fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria as well as the performance in the JEE Mains or UCEED exam. Given below are the details of the various B.Tech specialisations offered, seat distribution across the specialisations as well as their respective eligibility criteria.

B.Tech	60 - 120	Passed Class 10+2 with minimum 70% aggregate marks with 5 subjects. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) need to be pursued as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have scored minimum 70% marks in Mathematics.

IIIT Delhi B.Tech Admission Process 2024

Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2024 must ensure that they meet the IIIT Delhi B.Tech eligibility criteria as mentioned in the table above.
The candidates seeking IIIT Delhi B.Tech CSD admissions 2024 must appear for and qualify JEE Mains or UCEED.
The candidates applying for IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2024 for CSSS must appear for and qualify JEE Mains. Some seats will also be filled based on the performance of the candidate in Class 12th provided the candidate is not eligible for JEE Mains.
IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2024 for the remaining specialisations will be done based on the performance of the candidate in JEE Mains.
The candidates qualifying JEE Mains examination must apply and attend Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). The seats will be allotted to the candidates.
In order to finalise IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2024, candidates will then be required to submit all the necessary documents for verification.
IIIT Delhi B.Tech admission process will be complete after payment of the requisite fees.

IIIT Delhi PG Admissions 2024-2025

The college offers 4 main courses at the postgraduate level each in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computational Biology (CB) and a research based M.Tech in CSE. IIIT Delhi M.Tech admissions also offer admissions to a research based programme in CSE. IIIT Delhi M.Tech courses are for a duration of 2 years each and are to be pursued in full-time mode only.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admission Process 2024

The candidates must meet IIIT Delhi M.Tech admission eligibility criteria.
Candidates must fill the online application form for IIIT Delhi M.Tech admissions 2024 via the official website.
For admissions to M.Tech CSE, the candidates must appear and qualify GATE examination or the offline entrance examination PG CAT conducted by IIIT Delhi.
For the admissions in M.Tech ECE and M.Tech CB, the candidates must appear and qualify the GATE examination. In case the candidates have not appeared for the GATE, admissions will be done in 2 stages. In the first stage, initial screening will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying exam and some of them will be selected for the second stage for an online interview.
Candidates who qualify IIIT Delhi GATE cutoff 2024 or the PG CAT cutoff 2024 will be required to appear in an interview.
Seats will be allotted based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination or qualifying examination and interview.
IIIT Delhi M.Tech admission process 2024 will be completed after submission and verification of the necessary documents and payment of the IIIT Delhi M.Tech fees.

IIIT Delhi Ph.D Admissions 2024-2025

IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2024 are offered for 6 courses. IIIT Delhi Ph.D course duration is 6 years. Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2024 must carefully go through the eligibility criteria given below and follow the application and admission procedure as described.

Ph.D Social Sciences and Humanities	Passed M.A/M.Phil or M.Sc or B.Tech/M.Tech or MSW/M.Com or 2 year full-time PG Diploma in journalism, digital humanities, mass communication or others with a minimum of 55% marks or 7.0 CGPA.
Ph.D Human-Centred Design	UG/PG Engineering degrees in CSE/ECE/Design/Architecture/Social Science or other related disciplines or minimum 4 year duration or MBBS/MD/M.Phil or MCA or M.Sc or MA in design or computing related disciplines with minimum 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale.

IIIT Delhi Ph.D Admission Process 2024

Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2024 must submit an online application through IIIT Delhi official website.
IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2024 will be granted in three forms — Rolling admissions, Regular admissions and Sponsored admissions.
Candidates applying through rolling admissions are required to seek prior approval of the faculty member they wish to work under before applying.
A sponsored candidate has to submit a Sponsoring Certificate on proper letter-head stating that for the period of his/her studies in the programme, the candidate would be treated as on duty and that he/she will be allowed to take courses at IIIT-Delhi and conduct research.
All the candidates (Rolling, Regular or Sponsored) need to fill the online application form and pay the non-refundable.
Based on their applications, academic credentials, statement of purpose, CV and other details candidates will be invited for a written test and/or interview.
Only those candidates who have cleared the written test will be invited for the interview round.
Students who successfully clear the IIIT Delhi Ph.D interview round will be eligible for admissions to the respective course of their choice. IIIT Delhi Ph.D admission 2024 will be complete after verification of the necessary documents by the appropriate authorities.

Our teachers are very helpful. There are teaching assistants who help us in our studies. We cannot get good grades if we are not attending the lectures. Our course curriculum is relevant. Few courses are compulsory. Semester exams are not difficult, and the passing percentage is 33%.

Considering your focus on good placements and a decent college life, DTU, NSUT, and IIIT Delhi stand out as better choices compared to the newer IIITs (Bhopal, Nagpur, Kota).

If you get CSE or ECE in DTU or NSUT : These should be your top choices due to their strong placement records, vibrant campus life, and established reputation.
IIIT Delhi : Is also an excellent choice, especially if you prefer a research-oriented environment with good placements.

In summary, prioritize DTU and NSUT for their overall advantages in placements and campus life, followed by IIIT Delhi for its strong academic environment and competitive placement stats.

The eligibility criteria is as under:

Pass 10+2 or any equivalent exam with more than 70% (Gen/EWS), 65% (OBC/PwD/CW), or 60% (SC/ST). This criteria has been waived off for 2022.
Valid JEE Main score (through JAC)/ UCEED rank (through IIIT-D admission process)
Must have completed 10+2 from a school in National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi (for admission through IIIT-D admission process)
