Hello Aspirant.
To get admission into DTU you need to clear JEE main examination at a desired rank. But to be eligible to get college through JEE main examination you need to score atleast 65%(For sc/st) in class 12th. And 75%(general).
Hence, in your case as you've not scored minimum eligibility criteria marks, you're not eligible to get any college through JEE main examination.
Best of luck
Dear aspirant,
to get computer science and engineering institutes mentioned like National Institute of Technology or Indian Institute of information Technology or Delhi Technology University etc you need a rank under 2-3k for general category student with a three figure rank for some of the colleges.
This translates roughly to 99.5+ percentile in JEE main, around a score of 240+.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
Hello,
Categorical reservation is used in all states. There is no restriction. For home state quota, you have to satisfy the rules of native resident. You can use your categorical reservation for any college your are eligible. You can opt for home state quota where you lived for more than 10 years or your parents are permanent resident.
Hope it helps!
Yes deepak you need to apply individually for NIT ,IP,DTU and NSIT.
NIT takes admission through JOSAA so by Josaa you can get into any NIT based on your merit. Counselling of NIT is centralised and is conducted by JOSAA/CSAB.
IP takes admission based on JEE Main score but through its own counselling done by IP itself.
Same is with the DTU and NSIT.
The JoSAA 2020 counselling will include steps like registration, choice filling, mock allotment, etc. Before appearing in JoSAA counselling, all eligible candidates have to register themselves and fill cllege and engineering straeam choices in order of their preference within the given deadline. JoSAA mock allotment result will assist candidates in modifying their preference of course and colleges. There will be seven rounds of seat allocation for all qualified candidates.
Candidates who qualify JEE Main will be eligible for NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced will be able to apply for admissions to all the 107 institutes participating in JoSAA counselling process including the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).
Hope it helps!
Hello,
There is provision for lateral entry in DTU but not in NSIT and IIITD.
The application for lateral entry in DTU comes in month of july every year.
So do remember to apply for lateral entry. It is only for diploma students.

Hi Prashant,
Yes, if you are referring to NSIT and DTU for admissions in B.tech the basic criterion of having 60% in class 12th.
If you are asking for courses such as Bachelors of arts in eco or B.B.A then yes you obviously are eligible to apply.

Engineering isn't only about academics. From an academic standpoint, RVCE does far better than many other colleges. RVCE beats DTU in many aspects whether it maybe Academics or placement or other facilities.
Even placements are pretty good in RVCE. Among the top institutions in Bangalore, RVCE is one of them. Many top MNCs come for recruitment and also recruit in mass. Internship opportunities are well provided also with conversion option. Maximum package was offered by Google with 60 lpa.
Hello,
It is not possible to predict the exact college or rank you will be getting as admission cutoff varies every year based on different factors.
You can calculate your rank using the formula - [100 - Your Percentile] x [Number of Candidates Appeared divided by 100]
For JEE Main 2020 January Session the Number of Candidates appeared was 935000, so by using the above formula your rank should be around 56000-57500
Seeing and Analyzing the past year cutoff, With this rank you have a probability of getting into core branches (Civil, Manufacturing, EEE) of some NITs but not in DTU or NSIT

Hii Rahul,
No, admissions to bachelor's in business administration course offered by NSIT is through merit based cutoff lists which are rolled out by the institute. There is no entrance test for taking admissions it is purely merit based. NSITs BBA is a new course they have started off with.
You can reach out to us for more information regarding admissions.
Thanks.
I would give 4 out 5 giving 4/5 for infrastructure feels fair because the campus delivers strong academic support with modern essentials, while a few maintenance and distance-related frictions remain. The academic blocks have well-equipped classrooms and labs that support hands-on learning; access to computing facilities, library resources, and lecture halls is generally smooth and organized. Yehi balance—functional classrooms + labs + library depth—daily learning ko reliable banata hai. Campus spread is a clear positive: open, green spaces, dedicated sports areas, and a structured layout make movement logical and campus life active. Sports grounds, indoor facilities, and basic utilities (bank/ATM, medical support, helpdesks) ensure routine needs are addressed without derailing study schedules—matlab infrastructure day-to-day rhythm ko support karta hai. Hostels and connectivity add to the stability: separate accommodation blocks, campus Wi‑Fi, and common spaces help students manage academics and downtime together. Common areas and service points reduce friction during peak academic weeks—yeh subtle cheezein overall experience ko steady rakhti hain. Why not 5/5? On a large campus, walking distances between blocks can feel long, and some facilities show uneven upkeep or delayed fixes—particularly in select labs or activity areas. Kabhi-kabhi cafeteria/vendor churn and small admin delays bhi experience ko thoda affect kar sakte hain. These are not deal-breakers, but they keep it a solid 4/5 instead of flawless. Net-net, infrastructure is dependable, student-first, and aligned with academic priorities. If someone values structured learning environments, usable labs, active sports spaces, and a campus that feels like a self-contained ecosystem, NSUT’s infra genuinely delivers—4/5 is a thoughtful, grounded rating.
The campus is very big. It has modern and green campus. It has also well-maintained environment with classrooms. It has also hostel facilities. Classrooms are air-conditioned amd washrooms are neat and clean.
The campus is very beautifully built and the hostels have sufficient amenities like wifi, reading rooms, badminton court, common rooms, etc. The hostel is also nice and provides good quality food in mess and canteens.
