The CUCET entrance examination was initiated a year back to assess students based on their knowledge in the applied subject and analytical ability. CUCET is an entrance cum scholarship test. The idea behind the CUCET entrance test is to reward the meritorious students with a scholarship programme and assist them in providing affordable education.
While it is necessary for the candidates who are applying for B.E, B.Pharmacy, MBA, Integrated Law programs (BA+LLB, BBA+LLB, BCom+LLB) and B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture programme to appear in the CUCET exam, the candidates who have scored 90% marks in the last qualifying examination are exempted from the exam. The online examination is conducted in the various exam centres around the country. The total duration of the CUCET exam is two hours. The result of Chandigarh University (CUCET) is sent to the candidates through email on their registered email address and is also published on the official website of the university. The shortlisted candidates are invited for the counselling based on their ranking obtained in the entrance examination. To avail the scholarship benefits offered through CUCET exam, the candidates have to submit the 30% of total fees within 15 days of the declaration.
The candidates who do not wish to appear for the entrance examination can also grab a seat based on their last qualifying examination marks. However, they will not be entitled to the CUCET scholarship benefits. Such candidates need to fill up their academic details and other information required in the application form. A merit list will be released by the university based on the past academic performance of the candidates. The Chandigarh University merit list mentions the rank of the candidates assigned to them and their last qualifying examination marks. The qualified candidates need to visit the campus and complete the admission formalities. It must be noted that those candidates who have rank upto 50000 in JEE examination are also eligible for admission in BTech programme offered by the university.

Yes , universities like Chandigarh University (CU) provide a Transfer Certificate (TC) after graduation if you apply for it.
This certificate is often required when you take admission to another university for your master’s program, as it proves that you have formally completed your studies and are not enrolled in CU anymore.
Along with the TC, you will also need your Migration Certificate, Provisional/Degree Certificate, and Marksheets to get admission in a different university.
Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for CUET . In CUET eligibility, only your Class 12 marks are considered, not Class 10.
Since you have passed Class 12 with Commerce, you can apply for CUET and take admission in good universities like DU, Chandigarh University, etc., if you meet their subject and percentage requirements.
Hope it helps !
