    IIT MBA Admissions 2027-29: Eligibility Criteria

    The exact IIT MBA eligibility criteria for application and admission may vary slightly for each IIT. Here are the eligibility criteria candidates should generally meet to be eligible for admission to an MBA at an IIT:

    • A bachelor's degree from a recognised university/institute.

    • The minimum percentage/CGPA prescribed by the respective IITs.

    • A valid CAT 2026 score.

    • Final-year graduation candidates may also be eligible, subject to institute rules.

    IIT MBA Admissions 2027-29: Selection Process

    The IIT MBA admission selection criteria may slightly vary for each IIT. Candidates aiming for MBA 2027 admission at IIT should check the institute-specific criteria as well for the detailed selection process. Here are the generalised IIT MBA selection criteria for candidates.

    • Candidates who wish to apply for IIT MBA admissions must first appear for the CAT 2026 examination and secure a valid score in the entrance exam.

    • Once the candidates have filled the CAT 2026 application form, they should visit the respective IIT's MBA admission portal and complete the application form before the deadline of the respective IITs.

    • Each IIT will prepare a shortlist of candidates for the WAT/ PI/ GD based on their shortlisting criteria. The shortlisting criteria will include factors such as academics, CAT 2026 percentile score, work experience, and other components.

    • Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to participate in the WAT/GD/PI rounds.

    • The final merit list is prepared using the institute's prescribed weightage for CAT, academics, work experience, interview performance, and other components.
