I’m studying computer science and engineering because I’m interested in coding and problem solving. No need to worry or talk about teaching because they are excellent. The syllabus covers all the subjects related to software development with assigning projects, it prepares students well for the IT field/industry jobs
College Infra
Yes, IIT Roorkee has smart classrooms, huge libraries, well-equipped labs, sports centres and hostels with central access wifi. The facilities are great and mostly well maintained. And our hostels are decent enough because our campus is one of the old compare to all iit’s. Mess food also decent.
Campus Life
IIT Roorkee is huge(~350 acres) and green with sports facilities and great labs, but the small problem is distances are long. The students and staff members are very friendly and supportive. The campus nature is peaceful and safe with medical and security services for emergencies.
Placements
Placements at iit Roorkee is very strong. Around 80-90% students get placed every year. Highest package was in crore level, average package is around 15 lpa. And also our placement cell was very supportive.
Value For Money
My complete course cost for year is 1 lakh because this is the fee for those who are sc/st students, this fee includes for everything in campus like mess, hostels, tuition fees, etc… I feels that it is definitely worth because of quality education, top faculty, and excellent placements opportunities.

College Infra
The campus is one of the largest and most beautiful in India, with excellent facilities such as modern classrooms, well - equipped laboratories, libraries, and sports complexes. The hostel facilities are decent only and mess food is only fair enough.
Campus Life
The 365 acre lush green campus is vibrant and diverse. Students actively participate in cultural fests like Thomso, tech fest like cognizance and sports fest like Sangram. A wide range of clubs and societies provide opportunities for technical, cultural, and entrepreneurial growth. Peer-to-peer learning and student interactions make campus life engaging and memorable.

With a CAT 2025 score of 98.89 percentile and a B Tech degree in Industrial Engineering from IIT Roorkee your chances of getting admission into a good B school are very strong. This percentile places you well above the usual cutoff for many IIMs ,IITs and top private management institutes.

Both of these are IITs and hold their own reputation but still there are few differences:
