In questions based on analogy, a particular relationship is given and another similar relationship has to be identified from the alternatives provided.

So if w:x = y:z , then we write, w:x::y:z

So, 10:990::3:z

we need to find z, by above condition

10:990 = 3:z

10/990 = 3/z  (Dividing both sides)

z = 99*3  (Finding z)

z = 297
