Through CAT you get admission in top notch business schools in India. There are 20 IIM's in India and around 2 lakh candidates appear for this entrance. IIM's consider your past academic records like performance in 10th, 12th and even in graduation. Some consider it strictly while others gives it a less weight age. Then your CAT percentile is judged along with your profile. You are being interviewed and also there is a written aptitude test in most.

These are few factors on which you get finalised for the admission. So keeping these factors in consideration, your past academic scores are average and it will be tough for you if you lacked in your CAT exam and interview rounds. So you have to prepare efficiently and systematically.
