Yes 12th standard do matter for mba as there is some criteria set by the company for there selection procedure based on the 10th and 12th percentage there is an criteria yo sit in the interview.

You can say that It is necessory..
Actually as per the MBA eligibility You must have to completed 10th,12th & 3 years Or more Graduation to eligible for entrance.
& In graduation your score should be Grether than 50%.
You have to enter your 12th score while you are filling your Form of entrance.
So afterall It is Necessory..
