With 50% marks in class 12 general category you are eligible for many BTech courses in India, though top institutes like IITs and NITs usually require 75%, many private colleges and some state institutes accept 50% or more. For medical MBBS admission through NEET you need minimum 50% in PCB, for reserved category 40%. For engineering admission state quota seats often require at least 50 to 0% in aggregate, some institutes also allow slightly lower for reserved category.
