RT means repeat theory.You have got RT as a result because you did not secure minimum pass percentage in maths theory paper.So to rectify that you will need to appear in compartment exam to pass in that subject.

If a student has appeared for 6 subjects(one additional) and if he get RT in one subject the result will be Pass.But if he has an RT in two subject he will definately need to give the compartment exam.
