Solution : Given: 15 men can finish a piece of work in 40 days. Number of men to leave the work = 5 Let after $x$ number of days, 5 men left. As per given condition, $\frac{M_{1}D_{1}}{W_1}=\frac{M_{2}D_{2}}{W_2}$ $\frac{15\times (40-x)}{\text{Remaning work}}=\frac{10\times (45-x)}{\text{Remaning work}}$ ⇒ $120 - 3x = 90 - 2x$ ⇒ $x=30$ Hence, the correct answer is 30.
