Yes you may secure a seat in NIT. Just make sure that you check out the opening and closing ranks of colleges in the OBC category. It will give you a clear idea if you check JoSAA website for the rankings.

I am sure this will help you figure out upon the college.

On the basis of the rank secured by you, it would be nice if you could check the JEE Main College Predictor link which is given below. It will indicate the possible colleges where you are likely to be offered admission.

Based on your rank you have fewer chances of getting into NITs but you can very well try with your state quota which may be possible if your state has any lower ranked NITs. But you have a very good chance of pursuing B TECH  from private colleges. You can prefer courses like metallurgical engineering, production engineering, instrument control engineering etc in your counselling process. All the best!!!

For National Institute of Technology (NIT) you must have cleared JEE Mains 2019 cutoff which was 74 percentile this year after which you are eligible for JoSAA counselling 2019 through which you can apply for NITs and IIITs. You can also predict your college with careers360 college predictor.

Yes you definitely can. If branch or location is not a concern you will get an NIT. You can try in North Eastern NITs too if you wait till the special rounds.

NIT Meghalaya

NIT Andhra Pradesh

NIT Agartala

NIT Raipur

NIT Goa

But you will have to compromise with your branch in certain old NIT I believe

Hello aspirant,

With a rank of 22,000, you will not be able to get admission in any NIT. You can try for private or other government colleges.
