Hello

No, 5th semester students are not yet eligible for the UPSC 2026 exam.

To apply for the UPSC Civil Services Exam , a candidate must have completed their graduation or be in the final year of their degree course.

So, if you are in the 5th semester now (that means you’re in the 3rd year of a 6-semester course), you can apply next year , when you reach your final year (6th semester) , provided your graduation is completed before the interview stage .

Hope it helps !

Hello,

No, students in the fifth semester of their graduation aren’t eligible to sit for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2026 unless they finish their degree before the final stage of the process. To qualify, a candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or be in the final year of study. Final-year students may apply provisionally, but they need to submit proof of passing before the Main Examination think of holding that crisp degree certificate in hand before the big test. So, if you’ll be in your last year or have already graduated by 2026, you’re good to go for that year’s UPSC exam.

Thank you
