5th cut of Aurobindo college evening for BA hons English, General category was 86, my best 4 is 85.5, I left with just a half. What to do?

Hi Amit,

You missed it really close but there is nothing you can do about it, that's how all admissions are. Even a few decimal points can make big differences.

However, you can hope that if the seats aren't filled completely there would probably be a 6th cutoff list or some admission drive in order to fill the vacant seats. You stand a good chance in such a situation. There has not been any official declaration in this regard from DU's end regarding more cutoff list. We need to wait for few days to know that. Don't panic!

Hello Amit,

This is the problem with DU college cut-offs.

The cut-offs go very high and even though you got left out with 0.5 marks, you will not be considered because there may be several students like you.


If you are more patient then you can wait to see if a 6th cut-off list is released and hope that B.A English (Hons) admission does not get closed. You might have chance then because DU usually releases atleast 6 cut-off lists, sometimes even 10.
