Your question is bit confusing but you must be asking if you will be eligible for NIT or not with 80 percentile.

No you won't be eligible for NIT with 80 percentile as your rank will be very large and NIT considers rank below 3k. If you choose for top NIT campus then their end rank cutoff ends with 2K.

rank is low based on your score and percentile. For eg:,if you score 97 and total marks is 100 and there are 5000 candidates with mark 100,99,98 , then your rank will automatically become above 5000 which will make your not eligible for NIT.

It is the rank which is important. The higher you score, you go up and there will be less candidates who has scored less then you. If The number is less then 2.5k then you will get low rank and you will be eligible for many colleges. Pratice alot and  give your best.
