Yes, 98 percentile is a decent percentile score. Considering the previous year qualifying cut off you may qualify in JEE Main if you have a score of 98 percentile. Here is the qualifying cut off percentile in 2020 for JEE Main category-wise

• General:90.3765335
• OBC-NCL:72.8887969
• EWS:70.2435518
• SC:50.1760245
• ST:39.0696101
• PWD:0.0618524

The expected cut off percentile is as follows for JEE Main 2021

• General: 90-95
• OBC-NCL/EWS: 70-75
• SC: 50-55
• ST: 40-45
• PWD: 1-2

Cut off depends on number of candidates qualified, difficulty level of examination, number of seats available, previous year cut off etc. It may slightly increase or decrease. You may also have chances of getting seat in NIT/IIIT. If you are interested to get admission in IIT you may also start your preparation for JEE Advanced.
