The 9th Class Essay 1 Examination, also known as Summative Assessment 1 (SA1), is a government-conducted exam for Class 9 students. It is organized by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) or the respective State Education Department.

The exam is held to assess students’ learning progress for the first term. Government question papers are prepared based on the state board syllabus and include subjects like Telugu, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, and Social Studies.
