Hello ,

I just read a very famous book named A brief History of Modern India by Rajiv ahir .

This books provides the reader a very detailed history of India after Mughals or India Since Britishers , it talks about Britishers conquered whole of Indian Subcontinent and how they fought against Mughals , Marathas ,Rajputs , Ahoms and various other kingdoms that existed in Indian subcontinent , also about the economic policies of Britishers .The revolt of 1857 which was the first major fight for Independence and then the formation of Indian national congress ,rise of Mahatma Gandhi and the fight for Independence and then Independence and Partition of India and the final part of this book talks about India after Independence , several wars we fought with our neighbors and how we made several efforts to fight poverty , illiteracy etc   .
