Solution : Given: A's work in a day is $\frac{1}{36}$ unit. B works in one day is $\frac{1}{12}$ unit. Together, A and B's work in a day = $(\frac{1}{36}+\frac{1}{12})= (\frac{1+3}{36})=\frac{4}{36}=\frac{1}{9}$ unit. Together, A and B can complete the work in $\frac{1}{\frac{1}{9}}$ = 9 days. Hence, the correct answer is 9.
