Solution : Given, Sum divided between four people in the ratio 3 : 4 : 7 : 8 respectively Here, let the amount received by A, B, C, and D be $3x$, $4x$, $7x$ and $8x$ respectively. Now, According to the given Question, we have ⇒ D received Rs. 408 more amount than B So, $ 8x - 4x = 408$ ⇒ $4x = 408$ ⇒ $x = 102$ $\therefore$ Total amount received by C and D $=7x+8x=15x=15×102 =1530$ Hence, the correct answer is Rs. 1530.
