If student fails in boards exam then he can surely appear for exams again next year.Also you would have to repeat all the practicals too. That too without any more practice. T he next option is to join in the same or a new school as a regular student but there will be only a few such institutions.
The most problem that a failure in 12th boards will give you is during the entrance to very few exams such as BALLB through CLAT or IPU for example, which ask for clearing 12th in 1 attempt or DPMT which asks for 1 attempt at 12th board exams. You are also going to be asked this during first job interviews and then it depends on your presence of mind that how you answer them cleverly using your intelligence.
