If you want to change your Aadhaar number, it is important to note that the Aadhaar number is permanent and cannot be changed. However, you can update other details like your name, address, mobile number, email ID, etc., on your Aadhaar card.

Steps to Update Aadhaar Details

1. Online Update (For limited fields):

Visit the official UIDAI website.

Go to My Aadhaar , Update Your Aadhaar.

Log in with your Aadhaar number and OTP.

Select the details you want to update (e.g., name, address, etc.) and upload the required documents.

Pay rs 50 and submit your request.

2. Visit an Aadhaar Enrollment Center:

Locate the nearest Aadhaar center using the UIDAI Locator.

Carry valid documents (identity proof, address proof, etc.).

Fill out the update form and complete biometric verification.

Pay rs50 for the update service.

3. Details That Can Be Updated:

Hello,

To change your Aadhaar number details or update any information, visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Center. Carry original documents as proof of identity, address, and other relevant details. Fill out the Aadhaar update form and submit it along with the required documents. The operator will process your request, and you will receive an acknowledgment slip with a URN (Update Request Number) to track the status online.

Note that the Aadhaar number itself cannot be changed, but associated details like name, address, or phone number can be updated.

Hello Greetings

To update your Aadhaar, you have two options: online or offline.

Online Method

You can update your Aadhaar details online through the myAadhaar portal . To do this, you'll need to log in with your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. Once you're logged in, you can update your demographic information, such as name, address, date of birth, and mobile number. You'll also need to upload supporting documents, like proof of identity and address .

Offline Method

Alternatively, you can visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre to update your details in person . At the centre, an operator will assist you in filling out the update form and verifying your documents.

Required Documents

Make sure you have the necessary documents to support your update request. These may include proof of identity, address, and date of birth. You can find the full list of accepted documents on the UIDAI website .

*Tracking Your Update Request*

Once you've submitted your update request, you can track its status online or by contacting the UIDAI helpdesk.

Have a great day

Hello,

No, even after the update, your Aadhaar number will never change. You can visit any Aadhaar enrollment center to update your mobile number or for any other correction. At the enrollment center and at the bottom of the acknowledgement slip that is given out, the relevant fees for update services are shown. You can make any changes except Aadhar Number.
