Hello suman,
After 12th, you have to appear in JEE MAIN exam for take admission in top engineeribg colleges. there are 60% is required for NIT college.

hi suman ,

after 12th on qualifying the jee advanced you get the eligibility to get seat in the IIT'S .
on qualifying the jee mains , you get the eligibility to join in NIT's.
for colleges other than iit's and nits you will have to write the state cet exams .
apart from all of these , you can get admission through your 12th percentage also but , only in few colleges .
if none of these turn to you , you will have to go for management seat.

Hi Suman,

Admission for Btech/BE is based on both streams.

In some Pvt universities exam the rank is based on both 12th % age as well as Jee mains/advance marks.

So it depends on college or universities.

If u r lookin' for NIT or IIT , you should have min 75% in 12th board and should have a good mark and rank in JEE , i.e. here JEE mark has more preference

Else if u r lookin' for engineering colleges like CET or Barton hill or SET or CUSAT then u should have a good mark in board exam as well as in the exam conducted by them , i.e. here preference is equally divided for both
