Any individual who has passed 12th with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects with minimum 50% aggregate is eligible for this course.

Admission to this program, like most B.Tech. programs, is through an entrance test. However, there are certain universities which may allow merit-based direct admission.


ENTRANCE EXAMS

 There are many colleges which set entrance exam as a criterion to get into this course. Entrance exams questions are mainly from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the difficulty level is of 10+2 level.       

  Two entrance tests is listed below:


1.Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)- The combination of marks scored in 10+2 level examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination.is considered for admission in this course. JEE Mains application forms are released in the month of December and the examination is conducted in the month of April.

2. State Entrance Examinations – Some engineering colleges also admit students who qualify entrance exams conducted by various State Technical Education Boards, such as MH-CET which is conducted for admission to engineering colleges in Maharashtra


DIRECT ADMISSIONS


Many engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to the program on the basis of marks scored in 10+2. Some of these institutes are

To get admission in bachelor courses (BE/B.Tech), candidates may appear in JEE Main 2019 or any other state level engineering entrance examination. Admission will be done on the basis of rank secured by the candidates in the exam.

Admission in master courses will be done on the basis of merit list prepared according to the rank secured by the candidates in the GATE 2019 or any other state level exam.
