Hey!

After completing the training, most of the candidates start their career as ASP and lately they are prompted to SP (Superintendent of Police) of the district in early 30s (generally). And in some cases , IPS officers are posted as DSP ( Deputy Superintendent of Police) after their training and then in 7-8 years they become eligibile for the post of SP.
