Hey Rohan,

Yes there is difference but not a big deal. BCA is simpler and mainly focus on coding and software whereas Computer science is bit harder and includes coding, hardware and maths.

and most importantly you can still get good tech jobs with BCA if you learn skills well because at the end skills matters more than the degree.

I hope this will help you.

All the best.

Rahul It is very important question as it directly related to your career. Here is detailed explanation -

If you choose bachelor of computer Applications (BCA), you will going learn in next 3 years about software and web development more specific details, which make you job ready in these years. If you choose B. Tech.  CSE (or other computer related branch), it will teach you in next 4 years same as BCA but in more depth, it widely open you to choose other course in upcoming years as it teach you more detailed topics.

Here is little extra - if you choose B. Tech. CS you more likely to get higher packages, after successful completing the course on the other hand in BCA you have to pursue MCA to get better packages, yeah you also get packages directly after BCA but it is comparatively low.

Hello,

BCA and Computer science engineering (cse) are both computer related courses, but CSE is a four-year engineering program with deep study of hardware and software, while BCA is three-year degree mainly focused on software and applications. So, career scope is much more in CSE rather than BCA.

Hope it helps.

Hi rohan

The difference between B.Tech and BCA is that a B.Tech mainly covers deep engineering concepts in both the hardware and software sectors, while BCA focuses on coding and software. In B.Tech, you can gain engineering concepts in depth, whereas  BCA only helps you to know how to work with coding and software. B.Tech includes advanced mathematics and technical problem-solving, while BCA helps you to work with practical applications.

Both degrees are good in their own places, and both are good for a career in the IT sector and with good skill development.

I hope this information helps you. If you need more information about this topic, I've attached the link. You can access the article from our official website, careers360.

Thank you.

Hello,
Choosing between a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Computer Science Engineering (CSE) involves significant differences in curriculum, duration, and career paths. A BCA is more focused on practical software applications, and CSE provides a deeper, theoretical engineering foundation of software and hardware.

I hope it will clear your query!!
