The role of a pharmacist in public health is really important since a pharmacist know about the mechanism of action,method of delivery of drug, dose of drug, dosage form, drug to drug interaction, drug to body interactions in detail.

In the four year course of pharmacy you'll learn about pharmaceutics ( formulation of drugs ). Chemistry is the most important subject for Pharmacy. There are a number of pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, research departments etc. in India Where a pharmacist can work and have a good growth and development along with high salary packages.

In order to become a pharmacist you need to be qualified in pharmaceutical sciences, have a pharmD degree or atleast a diploma degree in pharmacy from an institution which is recognised by pharmacy council of India.
